With health and recreation as its major thrust, Saratoga Spa State Park offers miles of multiuse trails over a wide variety of terrain throughout the park. There are more than 12 miles of trails suitable for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. This guide will help you explore the Saratoga Spa State Park. I've tried to cover all the major baths, pools, trails, and sites within the park. Please check the links attached to this guide to find out more about the mineral bath offerings in the area as well as how to make reservations for the Gideon Hotel. Saratoga Springs is world renowned for its mineral baths and spring water. It's not often you find mineral springs erupting from the ground in Upstate NY.Show more

Nice, flat and easy trail in a portion of forest opposite (and part of) Saratoga Spa State Park. It's gentle underfoot and offers a great opportunity for some solitude in nature.Show more
#5 - Kayaderosseras Creek: Gray's Crossing (Northline Road) To Lake Saratoga
Saratoga Spa State Park

Length: 10.1 mi
The Kayaderosseras Creek Canoe and Kayak Trail is a beautiful paddle through a diverse semi-rural setting. The trail is navigable from spring to autumn and offers a relatively mild paddling experience with two opportunities for whitewater when the river runs high. Five access points allow all levels of canoeists and kayakers to choose a paddle for their ability. Traveling east from Kelly Park in Ballston Spa, the Kayaderosseras winds its way into Saratoga Lake. Depending on the water level this can be a nice leisurely paddle or it may require you to exit a few times and pull your kayak through some low spots. It empties into Saratoga Lake (which can be VERY busy) or you can pull out earlier. Doing a point to point with two cars is recommended.Show more
