Trail was good though waterfall was dry. Ruins were interesting and fun to play in. We hiked up a big hill and found another trail which was really cool. Suspension bridge was fun as well.

nice well maintained trail. we'll have to come back in the spring as there wasn't much water flowing over the falls. The interesting stone structure is the homestead of Belva Lockwood, first woman to practice law before the Supreme court and the first woman to run for president!

I spent a few hours today exploring this park and I enjoyed it. There's a cool suspension bridge to cross the creek and what looks like the ruins of an old mill by an amazing waterfall. The trail was muddy and still had snow/ice on sections so watch your footing.

This is a very nice park! It’s extremely well maintained, there’s tons of garbage cans, and we found virtually no litter. The trails are in great shape and the suspension bridge is pretty cool. I️ would expect this trail to be a little muddy and slick in wet conditions, but I️ would think this would be a really good park to snowshoe during the winter months. There is a waterfall and looks like a fairly easy scale down to the creek bed that will take you to the base of the falls.

it's awesome the water tho is freezing

Nice quick and easy trail. Only one there so very peaceful. Can get quite muddy and definitely want to bring bug spray along. Path does not give you great view of the falls, but you could probably see it better if you walk through the creek.

We were disappointed. The trial wasn't very well maintained, & we had to keep backtracking. Once we came out into an orchard & once out onto a road. The water level was low, so we didn't see the waterfall & the ruins there were marked with graffiti and not very well maintained either. We frequent the Lockport Nature trail & compare everything to that, so maybe that is where some of the disappointment comes from. We probably won't go back.

We hiked this at the end of Aug.The hike was just ok. The suspension bridge was fun. There was no waterfall as the stream was just trickle. My big issue with this trail is that it seems to be used by young people for clandestine activities. We took children on this hike and were horrified to discover a giant phallic image on a tree and other worse depictions spray painted inside the ruins. The Park seemed beautiful until you enter the trail and see this...we did not feel safe here at all. I understand young people sowing wild oats but this wasn't just a few broken bottles. This seemed to be a place where nefarious frat activities take place.

The trail is great, it is a very muddy trail which can be difficult at some parts, they have walk ways which were great, the falls were beautiful worth it

Pretty good trail. It was a bit muddy, but the view of the falls was pretty sweet. There is a rock outcropping where you can stand pretty much on top of the falls.. Check out my page for more pics and a walk through video..

This is a good relatively easy trail, if you are in the area. The lower section just past the swinging bridge can be pretty muddy.

Took this trail over the summer, The view of the falls is only from the top of it. I still thought it was a well worth hike to it. Wasn't too muddy, just wear some hiking shoes and you'd be ok. The old house sitting next to the falls adds an extra likeness to the area.

went there when I was young ;still love it

Took the hike today, and overall it was a good time. I found the trail to essentially be a web of them, and feel like I hit all the main boundaries of the park.

When you park your car, shoot way off to the right. You can then hike all the way to the waterfall. When you get to the old cabin, take a the trail to the right of it and you'll see apple and pear orchards, horse trails, and raspberry bushes galore.

Wear bug spray and keep an eye out for poison ivy near the water, which is most of the trail.

Summed up, not a bad bike. Trail is in decent shape, but be prepared for roots, a few trees across the path, and a couple of hills. Not a bad place to spend an hour or two. Good luck.

Took this hike because I like to view & take photos of waterfalls, well was disappointed in that aspect. Only way to get a view of waterfalls is from directly above it, you probably can go off trail & possibly get to a spot where can view directly but as was spring(muddy) and not in footwear for that I didn't. Overall the trail is decent, day I was there I was only one on trail. To get to trail head have to walk couple hundred yards across open field. There is a sign a beginning but offers no map of routes. Few feet into trail it splits left & right, if go right trail stays on top of ravine & eventually comes out in same field couple hundred yards from where you start. If go left eventually go down some stairs(well worn, watch your step) to bottom of ravine. The first part of trail can be a little tricky with footing as is a well worn trail but a lot of ruts & tree roots run through trail. The trail is marked with markings on trees every 10 feet or so. Trail eventually comes to a wooden cable bridge to cross stream Trail eventually heads up a incline to top of ravine again where trail becomes flatter & wider, this is wear eventually can glimpse the waterfalls. Like I said it is difficult to get a view of falls as it is at bottom of steep ravine, even trying to view falls from trail can be difficulty due to trees/brush. I imagine in summer when in full bloom it would be worse. There appears to be a old homestead on trail also but no signage indicating. At this point of trail there offshoot trails which loop around back to main trail. Another thing I noticed was lack of animal/fowl civilization, not even many birds.
If looking for a way to spend couple of hours in wooded area then give this a try, I'll probably try a again in summer.
