This is a pretty easy trail that's close the parking lot - I would recommend swinging by if you're doing the lake or Ash Tree loop

Really nice path. I jogged it and it’s pretty manageable. Missed a turn up the hill but there are a number of intersecting paths so I got back on it at the next bend

BEWARE TICKS WITH LYME. Found 2 on sweatpants after run, avoided all grass (and had 3 layers up to neck on) but somehow still found one two days later on shoulder. Tested positive for Lyme yesterday.

Easy flat trail around the swan lake. Beautiful fall foliage and reflection. Great with puppies. The trail is also connecting to many other trails too.

Another nice stroll or run combo in the Preserve, this is a fun double loop from the main parking area (see my description above).

Nice view of the lake, shady enough in a hot summer day, we enjoyed it. However I found a tick on my son’s chest when we came home and he never wants to go back there again :-/

My 5 star rating is not for the short hike, its for this wonderful spectacle (see my trail description above).

A nice mellow hike with views of Swan Lake (see my trail description above).

It was alright. Just so there's no confusion, these are not 13 of the elaborate stone bridges, just little tiny ones that you may not even notice are bridges as you cross them.

Short flat walk around the lake. Bugs were not bad, but were a little bit annoying buzzing in my ears. $6/day entrance fee if you park inside the preserve.

Very easy, nice little trail. Very short. Nothing exciting. $6 entrance fee.

One of the best walks/hikes in the Preserve. An absolute gem (see my trail description above). Enjoy!!

See my trail description above, a nice mellow walk trough the great Rockefeller Preserve!!

Please, please LEASH YOUR DOG!!! This part of the Preserve is fast becoming an area where very uncaring dog owners are irresponsibly sending their PETS off leash where they have been aggressive towards others and could also get badly hurt being in the wild. Care about your animals, abide the Park rules and keep them leashed at ALL TIMES! This park is a wonderful special place and provides serenity during in all seasons.

Very forgettable. Not to offend nature, but no part of this hike was memorable or worthwhile. Skip.

Relaxing trail on crushed gravel with minimal inclines. Had lunch just off the trail on top of Buttermilk Hill. A deer came within 5 yards of me. Got sprinkled on a little bit, but the weather held off enough to hike Lucy's Loop as well.

I did this with my wife and two sons (15 and 9). My 9 year old complained all the way since he would would prefer to be home playing video games. The trail was well kept to my surprise, nicely done walking paths. The trail signs were a bit confusing at times, especially toward the last 1/3 of the path. My Gardiner Vicodin’s watch measured from the car-trail-car it was 3 miles. It’s weird that you need to park on the side of the road and then go under the road via the tunnel/ bridge to start the path. But overall a great trail for beginners and a pretty decent fitness feel, when completed. I highly recommend this trail. I’ll do it again since it’s only an hour away from NY Long Island.

Pleasant and tranquil Preserve hike, many hikers never notice it!! (see my trail description above)

A pleasant tranquil walk to the Preserve's main lake (see my trail description above).

A nice, easy, extended hike to an ice age geological wonder!! See my trail description above. Enjoy!!

Very nice walking trail around the lake

A nice easy combination of two trails on the Preserve, see my description above.
