There are many crisscrossing trails and you can spend hours wondering around the preserve. Bring your phone if it's your first time there.

Awesome wild pine preserve

great park! walk with my dog all the time. trails are not marked well.

I was surprised with the range of activities. It was much larger than it seemed.

This is a great park. I love it and it's dog friendly. Please note that there are A LOT of ticks. Even on the trail.

I personally enjoy this preserve because the trails are more adventurous because many of the trails are not marked. You can spend a few hours aimlessly hiking through the beautiful pine forests or take the abandoned "Old Commack Road" for a nice walk.
