Pretty muddy. More of a balance workout just trying to avoid the thick mud!

Easy to moderate, my dog, 74 yr old father and 9 year old son had no problems, though they're tired after a couple of hours! Very nice area.

I found the markers very easy to follow. Little muddy but not too bad. Good trail to use to try and get a puppy used to hiking.

First time here and I enjoyed it greatly. A few people out and about on the trail, a couple of dogs enjoying the spring weather as well! I had read about it being hard to follow but honestly I had not a bit of trouble with any of the trail markers... Its an easy hike with a few hills, it was muddy so just take your time.

So pretty! It was a little icy underneath the snow, so microspikes were necessary for the hills, but it was a really great little trail. You really feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. Because it’s in a creek area, there are some hills, but it’s a nice little workout for novices, and enjoyable for all.

Very difficult to follow trail markers and path was not well kept when I went in October.

Nice woodland preserve, but the trail markings can be erratic. It's easy to wander down a clear path that tapers off to raggedy scrub. The blue trail markers in particular seem to be clustered so close together that it has two or three blazes on one tree, and three more on the next tree 12 feet away, and then five more blazes on the next five trees. Then, nothing.... So download the map before you head out, or follow the blue dot as you go, to make sure you don't end up climbing several extra ravine slopes in search of the path.

Love this hike. Be prepared for a few steep climbs, which are tricky when muddy. Access to the creek at the end of the trail was rewarding and refreshing. Good chance for the dog to splash around and cool off!

this is a very nice trail! very well-marked and maintained. flows nicely through the terrain. Bridges and creeks throughout here and there. lots of different watering spots for the dog. beautiful Forest scenery. no real difficulties getting around anywhere on this trail. there are up and down slopes but nothing really difficult to walk. trail conditions are excellent today. beautiful day, great exercise! 8 May 2018

Great trail that's easy to find. It's well marked except for the very beginning. Once you are on it, easy to follow. It's mostly shade and very peaceful especially by the babbling brook. It's a keeper. Good trail to take your dog too!

Nice little short trail. Only elevation is basically at the beginning of the trail as you descend towards the river. Well marked and well maintained

I drove past the entrance to this little gem a few times before I found the tiny sign for it. I'm glad I persisted because it was a gorgeous trail! It was well marked and it was easy to see the trail, even without markers. There were quite a few bugs from all of the wet weather, but still beautiful.

It's a great little hike! The two side trails add to the exercise but the main trail has all the cool fixings.

Kids, hubby and I loved it. Did one loop without the two extra loops and that was plenty for the 4 year old.

Great hike today with my daughter. All the trails were in great shape with no ice and just a little mud to slow us down in the steep spots. We heard a great horned owl hooting from deep in the pines. Cool!

Beautiful area for a walk in the woods that is in the capital district. I wouldn't call it a hike, but walking isn't a category here, and really, what's the difference?
