Leave your rings at home... I didn't anticipate how much I would need to use my legs and hands to rock scramble as much as I did. The views were worth the hike. It was very busy with hikers (some blasting bluetooth speakers) so I wouldn't call this a peaceful place, but it is very accessible.

The hill was good exercise, exploring the ruins of the Cornish mansion and dairy buildings made for a few nice points of interest on the way back.

Its rough, natural and the view is beautiful! So worth it! Loved the hawks.

This is such a fun trail.

Great Autumn hike with views of the Hudson River. Hiked 4 times.

This is a hardest trail my daughter and I have ever hiked before and we totally love it. Took a small dog with us and had to help him up up several times. It is so steep that you definitely should finish the hike as a loop and not going back down the same way you climbed up. Beautiful views. Heavily trafficked. Wound do it again in the Fall.

great hike!

This hike never gets old

Really challenging on the first half of uphill, but totally worth it. Would definitely do it again.

favorite trail!

Awesome “active recovery day” workout with amazing views!

Harder than expected, especially the steep scramble but downhill as well. We are not big hikers in general and typically stick to scenic walking trails so this was a bit more difficult for our skill level however it’s doable. Kids and dogs were doing it. Would come back for sure!

4/21/18- Fabulous Hike! Climbing Boulders. Beautiful day for a hike, temp was about 60 degrees and Sunny. Great for the Experienced Hiker. Took us just under 2 hours for up and back. Great views!
I HIGHLY Recommend this trail.

Great hike, a lot of rock scrambling! We took the breakneck trail and took a longer loop into the wilkinson trail. 4.5 hours total with 5-7 stops.

The hike is open as of today (4.21.2018) but might be closing for renovation soon.

Great hike to start off spring hiking. Recommend going earlier to avoid a lot of foot traffic, however even at 9am there were still a lot of people. Also, a ton of dogs on the trail. When you get to the first over look there is a lot of glass. Great hike over all!

We were blessed with 80 degrees weather this Saturday and decided to do this strenuous hike in this wonderful weather.
Had heard some news about the trail closing for renovation but it's not and someone was mentioning that it will be closing by the end of this month. Too bad

Update: the trails renovations have been set back and remains open. This is a hard trail do he prepared and please don’t leave any garbage along your hike and enjoy what it has to offer.

My first hike!! My buddy picked a doozy! That initial ascent....Wow! I thought “hike” meant “walk”. I got schooled but I’m glad for the experience.

Lightly trafficked route compared to breakneck ridge proper trail, but same stunning views.

One bridge (if you can call the ugly steel plates they use bridges) is out 3/4’s of a mile in. The creek isn’t too hard to cross anyway, but it’s due for a few repairs in the first mile.

Trails are well marked, the beginning is a well worn path for about a mile.

There’s a new alternate blaze green detour that takes you between the peaks rather than over them. (They have route maps posted, See pictures) There’s no real path and it’s less travelled, we enjoyed it since a foot injury prevented us from climbing higher anyway.

This route terminated at the turnpike entrance, there are no parking lots or structures nearby. You can follow the road around to reconnect with the Campbell Rd entrance.

Nice relaxing trail, no real challenges but worth it for lovely creek and spooky rock structures and walls.

Great climb, just a wee bit short. Beautiful sights and photo oportunities.

Is the trail open..? I thought its closed for renovation for awhole year...

Incredible hike! A little chilly with some brutal wind, but the experience was worthwhile. Be prepared for some serious rock scrambles. My hiking buddy and I were very surprised by the amount of snow still on the top of some of the trails beyond the poplar summit. Made for some challenging conditions on the way to and from the fire tower.

Awesome trail with beautiful snow.

Easy hike up to the Cornish Estate ruins on an old paved road. Perfect family hike or a quick dog walk. Ruins are fascinating...tried to imagine what it was like in the 1920's

Good elevation gain and great views.. I like it

My family and I hiked the trail while it was snow covered. A bit challenging due to the conditions...wear good boots with aggressive tread. The view from the summit is breathtaking. Highly recommended.

Great Views. Took Yellow Undercliff Trail all the way back instead of the Cornish Trail. Snow on trail was packed down nicely except from the upper ruins north on the blue trail to the red trail junction on the breakneck trail. I was the first through there. Snow was a foot deep in most places.
