Starts out as a gravel road from the parking area down to the boat launch at the south end of the lake, then becomes a two-track path for the next 1.5 miles or so. At the end of the trail, a little side trail goes down to a small secluded beach area. It was a peaceful walk, since Hemlock is basically an undeveloped lake (IIRC, because it serves as Rochester’s water supply). Other than solitude (once you get past the boat launch) and not-bad views of the lake, it was sort of ho him. No complaints, but not much draw, either. We combined with the Reynolds Gully hike for a decent combo.
