Awesome trail well marked! Started outside the rangers office and headed towards Artist Rock, about 40 minutes into the hike saw a black bear! Great memories were made!

Terrific! Did loop counter clockwise, which I highly recommend. Fun climb with views and a very pleasant descent through the forest with a couple waterfalls. Had to park at different trailhead bc of closures which brought our total to 6.8 miles.

I would recommend this trail the view on Twin Peak south was amazing. Make sure to bring plenty of water. Cool day I hiked it and drank 72oz of water. Some very steep parts to the trail but worth the feeling of accomplishment once you’ve climbed up. Definitely a would classify it as a hard trail clocking about 10.0miles by the time we got back to the car.

What a beautiful fun trail!! We have wanted to do this one for a while. The lots were all closed but today we were able to park close enough and walk in to the trail head. It added maybe 1.5 miles to hike. The views today were beautiful! We were lucky and just about had the mountains to ourselves. We passed two small groups all day. I highly recommend this hike!!

So many beautiful views, while the parking lot down by the campgrounds is closed the lot at south lake gets you close enough. It adds about 2 miles round trip but the hike is worth it so all in all the loop runs 9 miles.

Picked this up as part of the larger loop including north point starting at north lake

it's about 6 miles round trip and took about three hours. It was muddy for the first 20 mins. Brought the dog. Also, there was a no parking sign we did not see. At least 20 cars ticketed that day. $75 to Tannersville Court.

A beautiful loop trail with varied terrain and features, including a panoramic vista at the North Point summit and amphitheater views at Newman’s Ledge and Artist’s Rock. At times, the trail transitions were tricky to follow. We started at Mary’s Glen on the yellow blazes, then caught the red blaze trail up above Angel Falls and finally the blue blazes to the summit and down again toward the ledge. Weather was cool for late May and bugs were scarce. With the parking lot closures we had extra walking to/from the trail, but well worth it. Great hiking!

This was a very enjoyable hike! I recommend going counter-clockwise. Going up through Jim Dolan Notch will get you to the peaks faster. The path up is rocky, but it's not bad. There are a number of spectacular views! There are a few on Twin and Indian Head. This hike is not for beginners. There is a lot of rock scrambling.

Great hike today. Numbers 21 and 22. Twin has what might be my favorite Catskill view so far! Trail has a few muddy spots but is mostly dry.

This was the greatest trail and had the best views in the world

Completed 5/31 - nice trail with fantastic views at the end, otherwise through woods. Car park was open

Loved this hike. Great views from Twin and Indian Head. Some fun, challenging scrambles along the way. Bit it hard twice on the decent from both Twin and Indian Head due to the wet rocks, so be careful of your footing and be aware of the moisture on the rocks at all times.
