Loved the trail - but do a tick check! We each had 2-3 on us!

not my favorite, very muddy. trail is not well marked and you can see the previous trails, so it can be confusing. good work out. I just don't have unlimited time on a trail and generally need to know I won't get lost.

This is a great trail to become more fit! Definitely not an easy trail since it starts off with a semi-steep rocky decline. The level parts are great for catching a breather because there are many inclines and declines. Also many trails off the white trail that are challenging as well as great views! I didn’t get to the end because of a swampy area but I had already experienced enough and was ready for the hike back! I’ll be doing this trail often! My favorite so far!

This was a nice impromptu hike. Don’t be surprised if you don’t see any amazing views. Just a walk in the woods. The trail is not properly marked but there’s signal in the area, so no losing track. I recommend it if you’re in the area, but I probably won’t go back.

This is not a moderate trail, very easy. More like walking paths in the woods. Great scenery especially in the fall.

Great place for a moderate hike, however the trails are not well marked. On the way back from the bay, I got lost for a bit. There are many offshoots and no markers to tell you which path to take. But it’s a really nice area.

Great trail! We got a little lost at one point but for the most part the trail is well marked. It was super fun though and a good variety of terrain.

walked with my 4 kids (1.5-10 years old) and they enjoyed it!

A good hike but be prepared for bugs and some muddy and overgrown sections. Good vertical.

The hike is just the right amount of hilly for a light workout and it is one of the steeper hikes I’ve found in the immediate Rochester area. Muddy for one short stretch today, otherwise dry. A bit overgrown at times. Close to the city but felt farther away - beautiful views of the Irondequoit bay!

The description (2.8 mi, etc) is inaccurate & doesn’t do this park justice. It’s correct that aside from white trail, markers are near non-existent. The map is in the middle of the trail (43.1833 x -77.5153). I managed 6.25 miles wandering all the offshoots & white trail. There’s a whole series of ridge trails right along the water with great views of the bay. One of those you’ve gotta climb an unmarked steep slope heading towards the bay (see photo of giant open area, slope is to the left). Well worth it, great series of pines & open ridge areas back there. All this said, if you’re not comfortable hiking blazes with near non-existent markers look elsewhere. For those that like to explore, definitely take a look! PS: If you’re thinking of great views of the bay, do NOT come wearing anything less than pants, long sleeves, and footwear with grip. Blazed unmarked ridge trails have little to no maintenance & short abrupt slopes (see photos).
