Really good and tough ride!

It’s the fast version of the Petroglyphs.

Maybe a dozen or so to see on the way to the top.
View at the top is of local neighborhood and businesses.

Only recommend if you’re trying to see some carvings and don’t have much time.

Quick hike with lots of rock climbing. Kids enjoyed it.

Many petroglyphs here. Very interesting. Before I went there I thought these petroglyphs were created in thousands years before, but actually there were created for only hundreds years. I'm think is it possible that these petroglyphs are doodles of ancient children?

This is a nice desert walk. There are a few petroglyphs along the way and many at the halfway point. There are almost no inclines. This would be a great family hike. It also seems like it would be a nice jog. The rabbits that went bolting across the path were really fun to see. There is no water and no porta potties along the path, but there were bathrooms at the beginning.

There are parts of this walk that are accessible for people with disabilities. it is a nice way to get a few petroglyphs and views of Albuquerque if you have just a few minutes. I would definitely call this a walk, not a hike. It is a nice visit with small children or people with mobility issues.

Lots of petroglyphs and wildlife - jackrabbits, hummingbirds, glowers & assorted plant life. Easy walk.

Very easy, well marked, heavily trafficked, touristy road stop stroll i would say.

Not wheelchair nor stroller friendly. It is a desert hike without shade. Be prepared with water and good shoes. Petroglyphs are located in the back of the canyon so you should hike the entire 2.2 mile loop.

This trail is good if you only have a short length of time, or you don’t normally hike. I find the petroglyphs amazing to see, but it’s also very disappointing to see how much the rocks have been defaced.

Great boost for beginners. Good incline changes, uphill and downhill terrain. Easy to navigate. Bring water if you are hiking in the sun like I did. Got my heart rate up and had a great time. Beautiful views of the city.

Nice easy climb and hike. Lots of Petroglyphs and wildlife.

Easy hike, took me about 35 minutes. Petroglyphs are a little tough to see, but if you look up amongst the rocks, especially next to any of the markers, you'll see some cool ones. there is zero shade on this hike, so plan accordingly!

It was interesting, quite sandy, I ended up with a lot of sand in my shoes, my dog made it half way, I ended up carrying my 35 pound dog back to the car. (no dog left behind

lots of petroglyphs along this trail to see. Great experience, just be ready for the heat. With the volcanic rock being black and no tree around it gets a little rough on a summer day.

Great look at the Petroglyphs and a beautiful view of Albuquerque if you climb up a bit off the main trail. Nice, easy hike with jackrabbits, hummingbirds and lots of wild flowers.

Lots of petroglyphs. Jackrabbits were frequently spotted. Because the trail isn't marked, it's unclear how close to the rocks you should get, but you could get right up to them (but shouldn't). This is evidently a favorite dog walking area.

Fun, easy trail. The view of the Sandias and the valley below them is very nice.

great easy trail

We were able to do this adventure w/my dad on his cane & my son. The petroglyphs were beautiful and easy to see when on the main path. Once on top it was worth it and wonderful view of mountains & the local area. So glad it is preserved!

Pretty, sweeping vistas. No petroglyphs. Wouldn't bike this trail again without a much fatter tire, given the rocks and sand.

Nice hike, pretty view from up top and lots of petroglyphs to study.

Not a bad walking/running trail. Petroglyphs were difficult to see. Much preferred hiking trail in Boca Negra. Pretty view and more petroglyphs.

This was a great little family hike. The view is beautiful and there was hardly anyone on the trail. 2 volcanoes are closed for restoration, but the hike is still beautiful and a great time and 1 volcano is still open.

This was really fascinating. So many petroglyphs I could have spent a lot more time just taking pictures but the sun was setting. Will definitely be back.

Nice little hike. Always a few tourists. Great for a quick morning hike. This time of year, the desert is in bloom.
