Really enjoyed this trail and hope to make it out again when I have more time to explore the area.

First, .5 miles was steep and rocky. Well marked, great trail. Good workout.

Trail is well maintained and marked very well, although I can understand how some may desire more trail markings. There is a lot of climbing with good payoff on the downs. Trail is good for a variety of activities and has plenty of space for passing other trail users. Connects with several smaller trail segments to create a trail system.

Peaceful views. Nice walk

One of the best trails I have walked. You start at the trailhead in Oliver State Park and you continue going up until you get to the other trailhead on Road 90, it is a bit tired but it is not difficult to walk. The steepest section begins near the mile 3, a narrow path on the side of the mountain, just walk slowly and watch your step. The trail is very well marked and you walk a total of 11 miles (not 9.9), the views of the canyon and in any direction that you look, are spectacular! A good pair of mountain shoes and walking stick will be very helpful.

This is one of my all time favorite trails and I make it a point to hike it whenever I'm in the area. It's easy, well maintained and beautiful! My favorite part is the small meadow that the trail runs by at the far east end of the loop. There's a bench there as well and I usually spend a good 15 minutes just sitting and enjoying the view. If you make it during the fall you will see some beautiful fall colors. I just hiked this today (October 30th) and there was still quite a bit of color on the trail, definitely the tail end though.

Beautiful trail and well maintained. A nice short hike with enough elevation changes to make it great exercise! That clearing where the trail intersects with two others made me think I’d wandered into a Disney movie.

Only did about half of T93 and then returned the same way. Absolutely beautiful and not heavily trafficked which made for a quiet and peaceful hike. We did it in the fall but it would be a good summer trail because it has a lot of shade along the path. Next time we are aiming to finish the whole loop.

Although the trail is 20.9 miles long with the two sections, I ventured to complete it. It was a bit tire, easy to walk with some steep parts. The landscape is amazing and the colors in this fall time, fascinating! The two sections are beautiful but I would recommend more the Section 1, the trail is better and the views excellent, but you decide.

easy hike around the lake. I was short on time and could only go two miles in. But was worth it as I was the only hiker on the trail.

Great hike, but there were areas on both T92 and T93 that you might want hiking poles.

Awesome views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. I even ran into a band of wild horses! The path becomes harder to follow, and less traveled once you reach the Mesa loop. The trail (if going in and out) is longer than what this says according to my Fitbit. Great hike!

Great exercise and beautiful views! The creeks were wonderful and peaceful. The whole trail is actually closer to 7 miles. We will definitely come back and make sure to have more time to stop and enjoy more of the scenery. We went late in the afternoon so we rushed it. It began to snow/sleet which made for beautiful snow covered trees.

Trail follows through the woods for the most part, but there are a couple of places with a view. On 10/14, fall colors were just starting on some trees while a lot of the aspens had already dropped most of the leaves. Good for a quick, easy hike.

Just challenging enough, the views were awesome.
Lots of lose rocks that will roll out from under your feet. There was quite the elevation change in a short time, kept my breathing and heart rate up.

Thoroughly enjoyed this hike! The canyon with the stream and the wildflowers was lovely. The hike up to the ridge was a little strenuous but totally worth it. The views from the ridge were amazing. Saw 5 mule deer and elk tracks. Took T93 the whole way to extend our hike and avoid the difficulties since mentioned with T92.

There are 5 parking spaces outside the fee camping area, but if those are taken just speak with the campground host and say you just want to hike. This is a beautiful loop trail, not too strenuous, although there's a bit of an uphill climb in places that might get your heart pumping if you aren't acclimated to the elevation. You aren't too far off the road for much of the hike, but there's still a feeling of quietude and seclusion among the towering trees. You'll come to an operational gravel pit at one point, where you'll simply cross the road and reconnect to the trail. We found quite a few elk bones in that location. We did many trails in the Cloudcroft area, and this was one the most enjoyable for me.

Beautiful hike but more like eight miles if you go all the way to the ridge line. Met a great crew of guys working on the trail.

This is a long but beautiful trail with amazing landscapes, especially this month of autumn when you can see the different colors of the trees and plants. My granddaughter and I walked about the third part of the trail and we finished at the Nelson Canyon trailhead. Along with the magnificent landscape we also saw elks, deer, rabbits and different birds, we ended up a little tired but we enjoyed a lot.

Very enjoyable hike. Took my wife and dog. My dog thoroughly enjoyed all the opportunities to run in the stream that follows the trail most of the way. Only the last kilometer i would rate moderate or slightly difficult because of the loose rocks. The view from the top is gorgeous.

Beautiful stroll through the Lincoln national Forest, fall colors just starting to come out here at the beginning of October. Some nice views of White Sands in the distance and generally accessible for those looking for a less strenuous hike.

Loved it! Almost 7 miles is a long trek for a beginner hiker, but I made it and will definitely do it again. It was just beautiful!

It was a nice hike with pretty views of Sierra Blanca! Great hike if you don’t have a lot of time.

Took my Citified wife on this trail. She struggled a bit on the return thru the miners trail, but worth going that route. Good little hike
