Great hike! I agree with the other reviews stating it is best to start early.

Easy and kid friendly. There is a small section with a step incline but overall the trail is easy to walk and the sites and unbelievable. The rocks are carved from a volcanic eruption. Once you get to the top you're able to see the Rio Grande Valley, Jemenez national park and the tent rocks. I definitely recommend going!

Absolutely beautiful trail! We drove four hours to hike here and it was 110% worth it. The rock formations are incredible to see and you get to go through some slot canyons too! We went on a weekday and there was a moderate amount of people, so if you go on a weekend expect heavy traffic. It's an easy trail, there were a lot of senior adults on the trail. *Take cash! They do not accept cards at the gate!* No dogs allowed!

Love, love, love this hike. Incredibly beautiful. Go in the morning or cooler months! Gets hot quick.

The best trail I've done so far! I was under the impression that the monument would just be an overlook or a trail through the tent rocks. But you actually get to walk through a slot canyon (and it felt amazing in between the rocks, so cool), around tent rocks, and then up to the top of a mountain, where you get a nice overlook of the tent rocks. It was just amazing. You get so high up and it's not very difficult at all. Just be sure to bring water and sunscreen bc I got a little burnt! :-) we went in the morning, Id say the earlier you get there the better.

Major bang for your buck. Very short hike with rewarding views the entire way. Views change from desert to canyon to tent rocks, with a stunning 360 view.

This is a beautiful and unique hike that brings you up close, and then looking down on a unique geological formation. I hiked this trail with my son early in the morning and will never forget the walk. If you arrive just as the park opens you will beat the heat, and you will have the place to yourself.

Great experience, lots of people on the trail. The rock formations and view from the top were magnificent. We contemplated turn gin back because of some looming and significant rain clouds, but pushed on. It was worth it and did get caught in the storm a bit on the way down.

An absolute must-do hike! The "Slot Canyon Trail" is the out and back trail that brings you through narrow canyons and up close and personal through the tent rock formations. The "Cave Loop Trail" has a cool cave but you can't go into it. It doesn't have much shade so I'd recommend doing this one when it's not too hot. Also, the posted hours state 7am-7pm in the Spring/Summer (starting in March). However, we attempted this hike the day before around 5:20pm and the park ranger told us we would be turned away at 5:30pm. We decided to just come back the next day instead. Definitely worth the drive/wait!

BEAUTIFUL HIKE!! You must go!! Be sure to go all the way to the top and walk out to view the trail from above. The "steep climb" was manageable; don't let it deter you!! Can't wait to be back!
