very nice easy hike. no steep areas. nice trail condition. some mud but easy to go around. compared to most other easy hikes in the area this is very easy.

the beginning, going ccw is steep. the rest of the trail is an easy walk. trail not marked well. some parts muddy.

washed out

the first part of the trail is steep, Rocky and washed out going ccw. the rest of the hike is awesome easy walk in the woods. trail not marked well, must use a map as there are many off shoots to other trails which could make your hike much longer...

Great time out here !! Brought friends they love it too!!

Second time out here this time hiking . Learned the trail better for biking next time out

Had a blast the first 1/4 miles all up hill in rocks. Walked bike up then it was a blast , with nice people and a coffee house there after you are done !! Will be back

off trail

as others have commented, parts of the trail are not well mark and it's easy to get off trail. I managed to accomplish that at the one Trail marker, which is an angled rock pointing left on the top of a small mound of rocks. I missed the marker and went straight for about a quarter mile. Other than that, it's a pretty nice Trail. There are areas that are very rocky where would be easy to turn an ankle. There is shade. a fairly easy walk over all.

great trail for a short bike ride. was a little more difficult than I expected being rated as easy but it was totally manageable for a beginner. lots of rocks in the trail, and tight narrow tree sections for the first mile but easy cruising the last 2 back. great views had a blast. will do it again.

It's a nice trail. The only downside is that there are a lot of off shoots from this trail and your not sure if you're on the right one. The good part is you will find a road or you can loop back to the main trail. Its the west side of the loop that wasn't marked very well that led to my confusion.

short version of the Arroyo loop starting at the Milne Trailhead.

I would recommend this trail to anyone who has experience with hiking. The moderate rating is accurate but it’s closer to a hard rating. We went clockwise and got lost a couple of times but we think that if you go counter-clockwise it might be easier to follow. Lots of wildlife tracks and amazing views!

The trail is not ideal this time of year. Snow packed in places and very muddy. It does have some nice views once you get to the top. You don’t need to enter where the map shows, but instead but the trailhead for the Arroyo Trailhead. That is where the loop portion of this trail starts.

This trail is almost not walkable in current conditions due to all of the thick mud. It’s a nice, short loop for appropriate weather. If you are in freeze/thaw conditions this would only be a good hike in the morning.

good trail and located near a local Brewery for a nice drink afterwards

It’s my local, neighborhood mtb/running trail. Better than anything I had within 15 miles of me in Ft Worth.

I’m not able to edit my existing review, but kudos to AllTrails for fixing the errors I referenced! The info all looks correct to me now.

Great hike! Feels very remote, which is surprising, considering the trailhead is right on the road. There are many, many more trails in the Open Space to explore, beyond this loop. I was confused to find only a very small pull-off (big enough for 3-4 cars) and a tiny trailhead, with a small sign, across the road. But the location as marked is correct. There’s a bit of misinformation in this listing. I followed the trail exactly as shown on the AllTrails map (no easy feat, as there are MANY unmarked branches and it seemed my instinct was wrong in every case, causing lots of doubling back), and also extended by at least 1/2 mile total at the far end of the loop (by Sierra Vista Estates). However, my total distance was only 5.29 miles, in the end. Nowhere near the 6.2 miles listed. There are a few places in which the trail goes down the center of a wash for a stretch. I’d avoid this loop in the rainy season. This trail is tagged “no dogs,” but dogs are allowed. They just must be on leash (as is typical). There is even a community dog bowl at the single trail sign I saw. I would not characterize this trail as moderate. It’s slightly less challenging than the Birdhouse Ridge/Tunnel Canyon loop, which is rated “easy” by this app.
