the clear creek trail is open again it was closed due to the ute park fire.

great trail.

True hiking in nature and the mountains. The trail is not marked and first part is easy to moderate. You reach a mid-point on the trail, where you can turn around or choose to keep moving as the trail becomes very tricky and if not moderate, sometimes plain difficult, as you have to climb over steep rocks, maneuver over (or under) large, fallen trees, walk over fast-running streams with only slippery rocks to step on. There are 3 “bridges” to cross, which are 2 wooden planks with no railing, therefore requiring good balance. However, the scenery is breathtaking and the waterfalls are beautiful. It is worth doing the entire trail, but I would not consider it kid-friendly or even easy for dogs. We had our dog with us, he’s around 80 lbs., and loves our hikes. This one did cause him some difficulty and hesitation in some areas and he’s not a dog we can just pick up and carry!

Drove over an hour to clear Creek Trailhead and it was closed because of fire damage. In fact, all the trails in the state park are closed. Call before going.

Beautiful wooded trail with aspen and pine along Clear Creek most of the way. Trail is easy most of the first 1.5 miles to the waterfall with a couple of rough spots.

Beautiful trail, have to start at Trail Head so you can follow the path all the way. Several waterfalls, wildflowers and great views.

very nice, and trail continues beyond top water all to ridgeline with views of palisades and backside mountains.

Pleasant walk through pine forest, 4 small waterfalls. Easy to follow, 18-24” wide, 4 wooden bridges. Two who had trouble may have not been on this trail. There is a confusing one nearby. If you follow this GPS route, it’s easy

Beautiful trail along the stream most of the way, with at least 6 waterfalls. Wouldn’t be difficult for older kids. Will definitely hike it again.

This trail was so impossible to follow. I assume that's the reason for the "difficult" rating, because the slope is very mild, as you can see from the topo. I only made it a bit over a mile up before losing the trail completely and finding no workaround. Disappointed because it sounded great.

Trail very poorly marked. lots of dead fall.

Great trail. Most of the waterfalls were frozen over, but great views and a good workout! Spent around 3 hours on this trail.

Great hike with several waterfalls and grand vistas at the top. One of my favorite day hikes in New Mexico.
