Loved it - great mix of flat trails, hills and a bit of steep rock. Great views!

I went in October and the view was beautiful. The colors of the leaves were just changing and very vibrant. You can see the NYC skyline once you get to high point of the trail. The trail was very moderate and anyone could do this trail!

Such a great trail. Went 3/30, some parts were flooded but easy to move around. Nothing really blooming, but deserted and peaceful.

Be sure you have the correct trail map for this park! It should show a large loop featuring Green—>Blue/Teal—>Blue (a long Yellow and Red/White trail should be on the map, too). There is another map showing as “current” online and it does not have the correct markings.

Anyhoo, I did that Green/Teal/Blue loop mentioned above along with a quick diversion down the White Trail to see the waterfall. Came in a little over 6 miles (I parked at the Weis Center, so some of that was also the walk to the car).

I’d consider this trail fairly untrafficked—I usually only pass one or two people at the most, but I’ve also never gone on weekends.

Doing the loop as I do, starting at the Weis Center and going down the green path first, you come to a steep, pretty killer incline about halfway through. There are also a few spots with some scrambling required over rocks—I even had to lift my dog up one part! Otherwise I’d more list this trail as moderate rather than difficult.

Very pretty. View of NYC skyline was cool. This hike is as good as any in the lower ADKs and one of my fave Jersey hikes.

Great trail - peaceful, excellent overlooks, and enough scrambles and climbs to get a good workout. This trail unexpectedly turned out to be one of my favorites.

Great exercise for an afternoon. Climbs and views. Trekking poles helped my short legs. Nothing too strenuous. Beautiful views and interesting features.

Study the map at the park first and find the map at the kiosk showing the multiple trails and color codes for their blazes. The loop shown here is a small part of what you will see in the total network of trails. Look to match the shape of this loop with the trails on the right side of the map.

I relied on the GPS to stay on the loop shown here, but got off the intended trail and lost the yellow/white blazes near the end. Thought we were on the trail but ended up in someone’s backyard. It was easy to get to the street at that point and you were back at the parking lot. The network of orange, yellow-white, and red-white trails near the end is confusing, many parallel and shared trails, some making small loops. Take a photo at the kiosk or have a map to keep track of your route in this section.

Great hike! Beautiful views!

Good hike. Great views. Many slippery rocks that require caution. Not technically difficult. .

Great trail with some awesome views. Like other reviewers, It was a bit confusing to get onto the right trail but in the end I followed the green blazes that start near the pool by the parking lot and then the blue blazes up to the Ridgeline. There were some steep sections but I don’t think it’s very strenuous. Great way to spend a few hours when you need a quick nature fix.

Best hike we’ve done in awhile. Don’t just do the map loop above. If you do you’ll miss the views. Make sure to get on the Highpoint Trail so you can see NYC and some other 360 degree amazing views. Didn’t see any other hikers yesterday. Also no one was collecting $10.

Love how you can get amazing views without a super strenuous hike. I did get lost though. There are so many trails at this park and a lot of them run parallel to eachother which doesnt help... luckily i had service and data to look up a map and track my location to get back on the right track. otherwise an awesome loop and good hike with nice views

Nice views at the top and you can see Manhattan. A couple spots were not marked great but all in all it was easy to follow. We saw a black snake, probably 5 feet long. Scared the

Did this a few months back without Osio rock. Today did the whole hike in reverse of how i did it last time. A bit of a challenge going the opposite way with rock scrambles Again great panoramic views and 360 view from Osio rock.

Hiked the pink loop off the red on white blazed trail off Snake Den Rd west. 2 good view points toward the east with views of NYC.

Good for a NJ trail, with a good view at the top. Only one tricky part, rest is very easy. Scenery constantly changes, which is nice. Rating should change to moderate.

Also went in April and didn't have to pay an entry fee. Not sure if that's always the case

Spectacular views once you make the summit at Wyanokie. Trails easy to follow and and well maintained. Mix this in with Wyanokie high point trail and it makes for a better hike.

Beautiful views throughout the hike. We thought we were following the loop but ended up on the opposite side of the mountain, 8 miles from our car! Be more observant than us!!

Took a few minutes to find the start of the trail (followed the blue trail up and back). Amazing views from the top. Almost took the wrong blue trail back, but quickly sorted it out. I agree with the moderate level. Would love to go back with a drone and to also see the mines. The Natural pool looked interesting as well.

Amazing views from many vistas all the way to the top. Green to blue and back and not too difficult. A very busy trail with hikers, never alone for too long.

great views

Can be a tough hike but so worth it. The mountain has a pretty steep ascent, but great peace at the top. I started near the falls where they enter the pool and made my way to Buck. There are multiple ways in I believe, be careful because I had to help one couple find their car, a half hour away. Get out and enjoy this one!

Follow the black on blue blazes once past the stone living room to join the red blaze bearing right. If you bear left it dead ends not far from where they both meet. Great hike but doing the complete loop past the peak can be difficult at times.

This trail is incredibly scenic and fun. It's somewhat challenging but not difficult. We ate wild blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries along the entire trail. They are in large abundance.

It actually wasn't as rough as I thought it would be but it's really hidden which I liked. It wasn't packed with a ton of people.

little hard to find the trails first, but once you on it it is a great hike. Don't miss visit the mine on your way up!

I walk this area several times a year with friends and family and we enjoy it every time. This is such a great hike if you are in the area or even if you're willing to drive out. It has a wide range of sights, climbs, and wildlife that will make you want to come back in different parts of the year! The view of the skyline and the area alone is worth it. i really cannot recommend this hike enough!!

This was a pretty tough hike. There are many different trails to take, and each of the markings fit perfectly with the map. A lot of rock climbing on the way up, and the view at the top is beutiful.

Really great views and lots of interesting points along the trail! Highly recommend.

I loved every moment of this trip. I went alone but it was so grounding. I met wonderful people - the high point wasn't too crowded and I was able to do some yoga on the side of the cliff. It was wonderful !
