Cheesequake State Parks uniqueness lies in its geographical location. Not only is it situated in the middle of the urban north and the suburban south, it lies in a transitional zone between two different ecosystems. Open fields, saltwater and freshwater marshes, a white cedar swamp, Pine Barrens, and a northeastern hardwood forest are the main characteristics of the park. Park Entrance fee: On Weekdays: NJ Resident Non-Resident $ 5.00 $10.00 On Weekends/Holidays: NJ Resident Non-Resident $10.00 $20.00

I went on a very similar trail, the red trail. It was very muddy and slippery. There was also many stairs. But overall it was very scenic and amazing.

Nice, well marked and well maintained trail that’s easy to navigate. Not a bad set of views and walks for the area.

I'll start with $20 parking fee for non NJ residents.
Park it self is very clean and well taken care of(I see where $20 goes to) Green trail was 3 miles long , it is well marked and easy to walk on. Trail should be marked as easy

Very very clean park, nice trails went through several environments from saltwater marshes, bogs, pine forests, freshwater swamps, and oak forests. The green trail allows you to see coastal habitats and inland old forests.

Some areas could use improvement as I had to walk through several muddy areas, and a boardwalk would have benefitted these areas. But it's not the outdoors if you don't get dirty right?

Bring bug spray to prevent the gnats which we're plentiful in the salt marshes.

every step I was walking into spider webs, and was being attacked by bugs. it got so bad to the point where we left early. only thing cool about the place was the wildlife and a cabin that tells you about all the kinds of wildlife that has lived there over the years!

I love cheesequake park trails ! Easy to follow and it's a nice hike to do when you wake up in the morning and just feel like hiking ! There is also the Red and Blue Trail here which are definitely worth trying :)

This was Charlie's first outing off leash. He did very well and never strayed too far.

As far as the trail goes, this is a pretty place to hike. Fairly level throughout with just a couple of bumps here and there. Lots of boardwalks and wooden stairs. Not bad at all for a spur of the moment short trip.

I also had the pleasure of meeting the folks from the nj hiking.com website. Very nice people who have a ton of NJ hiking videos up on their YouTube channel.
