I have checked with the office. "No trespassing" sings on Deer Park Rd are fake. They are purely initiative of a local homeowner. The park is working with the state to remove them. For now you can simply ignore the signs.

Gorgeous area - sign up that the park entrance was closed due to lack of funding. No trespassing signs up everywhere! Too bad :(

Great trail but just be aware if you head off the route along the trails to the west, the two lakes are NOT part of the state park. They are patrolled by armed hunters (some of whom have set up a bear baiting station), as this is Boy Scout camp land (not marked as such). The head of the patrol was nice but I would rather know when I cross onto private land. Boy Scout camp and All Trails need to update their boundary markers.

I initially did the highlands teal trail 2 weeks ago. Today I did the loop. It's a great loop. not too strenuous. the hardest part is the first 25 minutes. towards the end it gets kind of muddy but nothing too bad. the black trail marked in the app, isn't marked on the actual trail. it's not too hard to find and follow though. there is a discernable trail if you look for it.

A great trail with a beautiful outlook. easy enough to do in 2 hours.

Fun easy trail, definitely wouldn’t consider it moderate. Almost no elevation and clear good condition trails.

Nice trail in the woods. The lake at the end of the trail was beautiful. well marked blazes.

Nice, easy hike. Only ran into three other people on the whole loop, pretty good for a Sunday afternoon. We found a cute little clearing on the northwest side of the pond and stopped there to eat. Trails are in good shape - someone had been through very recently with a chainsaw to clear out some deadfall. We followed a couple of the deer trails (much woodsier than the car-width main path comprising about 1/2 of the loop) to spice things up a bit. Pleasant way to spend a few quiet hours

Needs work on some parts but overall great ride and scenic. Avoid after rains for sure.

This is actually a terrible trail, not sure what others see that I didn't. Poorly marked and maintained (some of the trail is actually maybe a foot wide!). It's nice for maybe the first mile-mile and a half then it runs along a very busy/loud road. When you get to about mile 3.5 it essentially spits you out in a residential street area lol. Who wants that? So you backtrack the way you came. I would not recommend this trail to anyone, but in the early part of the trail there is one or two hiking trails that are easy and nice to do (Iron Mine trail (Blue markers).

Parking is allowed behind the restaurant "Salt" to hike this trail

Decent trail, could use better markings at trail intersections, spent a lot of time backtracking and looking for trail markings. Not much as far as sights to see, unless I missed something while studying the app on my phone to find my way!

Not sure I chose the right map to save this. Didn’t use one when recording. Most of the trail was Waterloo Trail North (orange and some 3 orange). AllTrails has this as blue/moderate but the first 3 miles was practically unrideable. I parked on Kinney Rd. and went right at the first split (as you can see from my recording). Definitely won’t do this trail again. When I got to the White trail it was amazing and as I expected the whole thing to be.

Nice easy hike on relatively flat trails and woods road. Pond is pretty with lily pads and beaver lodges. Woods are nice with ferns and native flowers. Road to parking lot 2 is terrible with deep ruts and big rocks. Our Subaru Impreza was scraping along and bottoming out the whole way. Need a Jeep!
