great for MTB

Perfect fall day for this 4 mile lollipop trail through Allaire State Park. Green trail follows the old canal from the Village entrance, up under I-195, and past Long Swamp Pond. Some sections allow bicycles and other areas allow for equestrians.

Paths should be marked more clearly

We did the Green trail, it is a well cut out trail, marker's do lack here and there though. It's well kept, minus the trash from (dirty) people on the highway as you cross under I-195. Also, throughout almost the entire trail you can hear cars nearby or in the distance, so don't expect to be getting too far away from civilization and into nature in this park. Very easy as for elevation changes (not much at all), paths are cleared out well too. We went during a wine festival and got hit for $5 parking fee, just as a heads up, that also attributed to the noise levels. The sign's along the trail are nice, explaining some of the local trees in the area.

This was a great afternoon ride. Quiet ride with only a few easy road crossings. A couple of small Hills to mix it up.
To clarify, the 7 miles is one way from Wall Municipal complex to the parking lot of Allaire State Park.

Decent for a trip if your interested in seeing new parks. This park has the "came, saw, conquered" mentality and after conquering the few trails you won't find yourself saying I want to come back.

Paved path that is great for walking and biking. Brings you from one town to another. The great Allaire State Park at one end and Manasquan on the other. Also the Wall bike path can be accessed from this path. Some great Geocaches along the route.
