Can’t see anything at the top of the summit or the overlook. Fun trail but a lot of flies and mosquitoes so make sure you have a headnet and insect repellent.

Dogs are not allowed on trail except in October

started at 8 am did the loop got done at two it was a great hike lots of animals and flowers

This hike is the shortest way up to the firetower. I suggest going right out of parking lot to make it slightly more difficult. My 4 yr old had a great time. Loose rocks on the way up.

Beautiful temps, not many bugs. Great day for a hike. Few muddy parts.

Nice way to spend an afternoon. the steep. rocky section on the middle can be challenging. but its very casual after that. not one of the more popular trails so a nice one if you want to be alone.

Love this hike. it's the one U do when I need to get out but don't have a lot of time. the rocks and ponds are interesting. I also take my cub scouts here because they like exploring the area.it can get very buggy though.

Great trail for casual hikers. Decent view at the top and a pretty gentle hike over all. My mom said it was the best hike she had ever done, though a cool breezy late summer day does help. Short bit of steeper climbing, but most of the trail is very gentle. Great for younger kids as well.

Hard to say if we stayed on this trail or ended up on another - would have benefited from markers. Many bugs along the way, as well - may try again in the fall.

Easy out and back trail through the woods. Some nice marsh and lake views but mostly shaded through the woods. Some bugs but not too bad. Pleasant walk overall.

great little trail for workout. bugs were biting where plenty of feet.

Challenging somewhat on the way up but fairly easy trail overall. Only one place close to the top with views of neighboring hills.

my recording of This trail is only half (for the way down) because for some reason when we got to the top of the trail this app removed my recording. so it's a bit over 3 miles. great views at the top end of the trail. bring bug spray. was great for our dog and good for when you don't want to hike all day.

Very nice trail. Shade all the way

Did the loop starting and ending at the boat launch instead of the campsite. Not too difficult, nice long walk, but not much to see. Lots of gnats in the marshier areas.
