This was a lovely hike. Steady grade all the way up to Cabot and nothing too strenuous. A few "tough" spots since the trail was pretty wet when we went. Definitely plan on getting muddy. There's some small streams and waterfalls along the way. There's spots that are overgrown so long socks and pants are recommended. The trail isn't blazed but very easy to follow. There's also a nice viewpoint before reaching Cabot Cabin. No views at the summit since its' wooded, but you can get a nice 360 if you're inclined to climb the boulder at the top of the Horn. Overall a great hike! Wouldn't really rate it Hard, pretty much Moderate, not a lot of scramble. I often use trekking poles and found myself packing them away a while. Also, the Berlin Fish Hatchery WILL NOT LOCK YOUR CAR INSIDE so no need to rush to get out by 4:00! We couldn't get a confirmation and ended up running the last 2 miles to make it back in time to have some locals tell us that even if it's closed, it's just pinned shut if there's still vehicles parked for hikers. So just because we missed out on a leisurely descent doesn't mean you have to :)
