Beautiful and pretty easy scramble up and down. Took is about 1.5 hours!

Fun trail along the U.S. Canadian border and around the pond. Park on the right before the border crossing the trail starts on the left beyond the customs building. Watch for the border markers as you go. Border agents seem annoyed if you approach the building to ask questions.

The final destination is well worth the hike up. I also did not mind the boulders to climb over. And the views are amazing. We saw moose tracks, bear scat and prints. And the venturing between Canada and the USA is a pretty neat feeling. On the flip side, most of the trail is overgrown and a lot of prickly plants to scratch you. But overall. Beautiful!

great hike, awesome views and loved the loop around the pond. It would have been nice to know before driving up there and getting my 2 dogs all geared up and walk over to find out NO DOGS ALLOWED. but still an great hike if your dogless

Awesome trail and views. Going up the mountain is challenging with the steep rocks and moisture. It started to rain during our hike so it became very slippery and caused 3 of us to have minor falls. I highly recommend this trail ... Just be careful of the rocks and moisture.

Great trail that starts with a few very steep climbs. The loop around the lake is amazing and peaceful. Only passed one other couple just after beginning the trail. Talking to them, it was their second attempt at the trail because they turned around the first time they hiked it, not knowing how much further they had to climb to get to the lake.
Overall, it's not a long hike. The steep beginning just makes it feel that way.
Some parts around the lake really give you that complete seclusion feeling.

There is a clearly marked parking area to the right of customs building when you drive up, and signs leading to the trailhead from there. No requirement to check in or stop at customs. The border markers throughout are kind of cool to think that you are straddling the 2 countries.
