Dixville Notch State Park spans 127 acres. Within the park is a scenic gorge and waterfalls on two mountain brooks. Hiking trails lead to Table Rock and nearby mountains.

Moderate is an understatement.

Took trail no. 50 up and down. It’s the easier one. The steep really difficult trail starts at a different spot. Fantastic view at the top. A bit scary if you’re afraid of heights.

The short way (Climbing Trail) is intense and basically rock climbing. It is very steep. We will try the easier 'long' way next time.

Beautiful hike! Just challenging enough to break a sweat, but short enough that you're able to push through with minimal stops. The views are absolutely stunning. One of my favorite quick hikes in NH!

It's a short hike but it's steep - and there are a few moments that are knee to chest. But the view is always, always worth it.

amazing view, especially given the shortness of the hike.

Beautiful resort. Stayed here with my wife in 2007. Lots of hiking and skiing to be done near the hotel, moments from impressive views of Dixville Notch, it was a real treat.

The track given for this trail is the trail I described leaving from the ski area road turn off just west of the notch and looks to be about 2 miles out and back. This is the way we did it several years ago and is a wonderful hike

If your a strong willed hiker this is a quick and fun shortcut up to table rock. Though a 597 ft. In .1 miles is not a moderate hike. It is practically a class 4 scramble! Be aware that this is a difficult trail for novice or out of shape hikers. And should probably be avoided when wet. For a more "moderate" hike take the trail about 3 tenths of a mile west of the notch on the left at the access road to the balsams ski slope.
