Photos of Van Sickle Bi-State Park Trails

There’s some really nice vista points as others have mentioned where the whole lake comes into view. Unless you’re looking to go onto the Tahoe Rim Trail, I’d say a good turnaround point would be the wood bridge + waterfall. (It’s a pretty small waterfall). From that point, you’re going more inland towards the rim, so you lose sight of Lake Tahoe and the end of the trail doesn’t really offer any great views. A good deal of climbing given the 3.2 miles uphill. The path is shared with mountain bikes. Trekking poles were helpful for descent. There is parking right by the trailhead, I parked in the lot underneath the gondolas and walked the 0.3 miles to the trailhead. Total round trip for me was 6.7 miles in 2hrs and 54 minutes.
