Terrific state park with easy hikes in the beautiful nevada desert. A welcome nature respite from the vegas scene.

Visited Valley of Fire Sept 7th. I recommend seeing this natural wonder early in the day. Extremely hot midday temps prevented us from see much away from our car. Would love to return in the spring/early summer.

Extremely hot temperatures kept us from completing this short trail. I made the ultimate error and wore sandals. Felt like I was walking on fire as the temperature was 106 degrees! Petroglyphs were easy to find.

One of my favorite hikes I’ve ever done. Short and sweet. It’s all sandstone blown from the wind so you could probably do it barefoot in some spots. I hiked the whole way in my five fingers with no problems. Breath-taking views the whole way and the lookout at the end is the perfect picnic spot. I would say it’s probably a 30 minute hike out but we stopped several times for photos. Valley of Fire is one of my favorite state parks and it’s a must visit if you’re in Las Vegas.

Very easy walk down from the parking area to the petrified logs. They’re cool to see, especially if you’ve never seen petrified wood before. Very hot and no shade.

Fairly easy trail with beautiful scenery. I really enjoyed the petroglyphs!

Lots of sand makes trekking a little slow, but beautiful views. Scarce shade, so best to come early. Marked pretty well.

Trail with neat views of the fire wave, 7 wonders, narrows, and interesting landscapes and rock formations. Markers only at the fire wave, so it's good to have All trails open to stay on course. Will come again with friends.

Loved this. Went in the evening, at sunset. Hot but doable. Amazing shades of pink, red, and white in the canyon faces.

Great easy trail with a variety of things to see. Super cool starting at the bathrooms and walking down past the movie set remains. Great views. Then you go into a slot canyon and come out and see a variety of colored rock formations. Lots of great, unique geologic features in one short trail. More greenery and things to look at than fire wave. Really enjoyable.

Nice desert trail with a lot of scenery changes. I’d recommend this if you’re going between Vegas and Utah. Good bouldering opportunities.

Temperature was about 85F. Good hike late morning, not crowded. Sandy surface makes hiking a little more difficult. Don’t miss the water pool to the right of the large formation at the end of the trail.

Great trail but once you get off of the fire wave trail there are no markings. Definitely download the map and just follow the creek bed. Great colors and photos all around.
