This was a quick hiking trip for me, but I met a number of mountain bikers on the trail. The trail is easy to hike or bike with no big elevation changes. Lots of criss-crossing trails to explore, but you can’t get lost. Spring is probably the best time to visit while the plants are in bloom and the weather is still cool.

This was a beautiful hike after the recent rains. We intended to do the late night loop but turned onto vigra due to poor signage. This app was very helpful in figuring out where we were! We did only the Mustang loop at 3.8 miles. Mostly mountain bikers out, this is an easy trail with glorious views. Also a great hike- note you will have to walk single file as these trails are optimized for mountain bikes. Definitely recommend for novice hikers!

There are lots of trails to explore in the Cottonwood Valley system. This route takes about 30 mins to hike up to the first peak which gives partial views of Blue Diamond and Spring Mountain Ranch. The next peak is another 10 mins and has a nice view line of the Strip. It’s a workout both ways since you have to climb back up high grade switchbacks once you turnaround at the west side of Landmine Loop.

This is an easy trail if you’re just getting back into using your hiking legs. Elevation gain doesn’t begin until the halfway point. I wasn’t crazy about the last mile being adjacent to the highway.

well maintained trail system

Great run. Very fast trail. Was a perfect temperature in December. Definitely a winter running spot for me. Looking forward to going back and exploring more possibilities from this trailhead.

Went on this trail today with just a old fashioned paper map and yes it would be ready to get lost. Will definitely use this app on next hike.

Loved this loop!! Will do it next time on my bike!

Nice hike

First time riding in the desert so I can"t give it a 5 ("as good as it gets"),but it was a great ride. Excellent desert scenery, good flow, some degree of technical riding amidst some deceptively difficult climbs. I crashed and burned early on my second loop,so I had to walk out, but I will be back!

Fine, if you like pure desert hikes. Spends a little too much time along the highway , and is mainly a mountain biking trail.
