Absolutely beautiful.
Very easy to do. Not steep at all.

Heavily populated and not hard to find people.

Great hike. Falls were amazing! Trail was good, a few muddy spots and water running over trail.

This trail was mostly great all around. Didn’t run into any snow, but some flooding over trail. The only problem I have with the trail is that to get down to the road, the first .6 ish miles are a strep downhill. This isn’t bad until you’re at the end of 9 miles and then have to go up. Other than that, the view is worth it!! BEAUTIFUL!

amazing waterfall, lots of water coming down the trail right now but you can get around it. easy hike as far as I was concerned

Many of the descriptions people have posted are incorrect. This is a great hike with several potential destinations. The first are a series of falls about 2 miles in. This area is spectacular and fairly busy. Many hikers stop here. At about 3 miles you cross the creek on either a sketchy log or by wading. From there you have several miles of flat thick forest to hike through. At around 7 miles you reach a series of bedrock creek cascades that are gorgeous. This is a possible camp location as well. Once you progress beyond this, there are fairly frequent flat and relatively open areas if you want to camp below Bryan lake. At about 8 miles, you hit Bryan lake. When we did this trail in 2015, there were quite a few logs over the trail in the upper reaches. I don’t know if they have been cleared since.

This is a beautiful hike. There’s a variety of terrain and I would rate it as moderate. Lots of shady area right along the creek. It climbs at a constant pace so definitely a nice moderate workout. This is one of my favorites.

Deadfall. Depressing views.

Totally love this hike. By far my favorite..

Love this trail for an any time hike. there was about 6 inches of snow this time and lots of opportunity for beautiful pictures. We went about 3 miles in and hiked out in the dark. Trailer is well marked with no issue finding our way out.

loved the hike. great views.

Road to trail was good, trail was melting snow/ice.

Beautiful trail, RD to trail head was in great shape. The trail is icey, I suggest micro spikes. If your GPS tries to take you to Jackson LN it's incorrect.

Great hike

My friends and I enjoyed this hike very much. It offers a nice incline on the way up to the waterfall, and then the decline back down isn't too bad. Didn't see too many people for a Saturday. The waterfall is such a reward. You can hike up to the top of it. If you want after you hike to the top you can cross the water hike down a bit, and see the waterfall fully; but, there is no well marked trail to do this.

The first three miles are gorgeous. Amazing views of Prinz Ridge and easy access to the creek. The next two miles to the falls are shady and sweet with a sweet payoff at the second set of falls. Another nice, shady two miles gets you into the actual wilderness area and to seven mile meadow where there are decent campsites. Water access here was made difficult by muddy banks, suck diminished the sites appeal. If you're not going all the way to the lake, camp here because the campsites at nine mile meadow are seriously lacking and were beyond infested with mosquitoes. From nine mile meadow, it's roughly three miles to the lake and the trail saves almost all the elevation gain until the end while affording really nice views of the surrounding peaks. The lake itself is tiny with an oily sheen and seemed devoid of fish, we were reluctant to swim though other folks told us they had. Three are several decent campsites I the near side of the lake, but we didn't explore much die to boggy conditions around the lake. The trail itself was overgrown and grabby with deep trenches at intervals that made footing uneasy at times. The initial five miles are the highlight of this trail, as there are far nicer lakes in the Bitterroot corridor.

I'm not quite sure where the lake is - certainly not at the turn around to make it a 6.3 mile hike. Really scenic with great rock outcroppings for lounging. Guess I'll keep trying to find the lake!

This is such a fun, exciting hike. The trail was overgrown with several fallen trees on the trail here and there, but the views are well worth it; Lake Bryan is spectacular.

Beautiful!!! Trail gets fairly rocky but worth the effort! Be sure and go all the way to the top!

A great trail, been there twice with kids, they loved it, falls are impressive!

This is a nice shady hike most of the way.

Awesome hike! Uphill the whole way, the kids hiked the whole thing except our 3 year old, he napped in his carrier on the trip down.

Great hike to first waterfall. Took about an hour up. Hot in the sun, but very nice in the shade. Found places to let dogs get in water, but creek is still flowing fast. Some areas of the trail were muddy, but they were easy to get around.

Nice little hike with some good places to stop and just enjoy the view. Getting to the falls was somewhat of an adventure as I was with my small dog and it seemed the only way to cross the river was on a log. We ended up climbing up further and found the falls. Beautiful area

A fantastic day hike in the Bitterroot. The first 1/4 mile or so is along a road. Most of the hike is along the creek. It was nice that probably 2/3 of it is shaded. Great wildflower. Lots of lupine and beargrass and a few paintbrush. The views at the first large falls are great. Be sure to keep going past it for the second Falls.

Amazing!! Hands down one of the best hikes I have been on. The water fall is beautiful, there is a small part of the trail that is fairly wet and rocky.

Great hike to do at the end of may when all the snow has melted/is melting; waterfall was huge due to this and absolutely beautiful! Easy parking and walk to trail. Be prepared for some muddy areas on trail but over all a great hike!

Breathtaking views pretty much from the start. I hiked about 7.5 miles out, passing several waterfalls on the way. At around five miles deep was probably the coolest one. I stopped when I reached a nice sized meadow with some awesome views. Nice break from the thick timber. Saw one moose cow hanging out by the creek. Overall excellent for a short or long hike.
