Beautiful Bluebells in Spring.

Great, easy hike on pavement for the majority of the path, the last bit before reaching river access is gravel. Once you do cross on to the gravel portion of this trail you'll come to a brief clearing where there's a large cactus patch that certainly took me by surprise. I wasn't aware that grew in the wild in Missouri.

The waterfall mentioned in the description above barely qualifies as one, it's more of a trickle of water running down a steep slope near the start of the path, so don't get your hopes up for anything spectacular regarding that. Not to detract from this very beautiful wood & stream path though, but there's hardly a waterfall, maybe after a good rain it's more active though.

Hidden gem of a path that’s sparsely utilized and well maintained if you're looking for an easy trek.

Zombie Trail goes much farther than shown here. Gateway Offroad Cyclists has a nap that shows the path. It is a great trail. Lightly trafficked.

This is an easy paved trail with multiple side dirt trails. This trail connects to the Al Foster trail, the Rock Bluff Trail, the Zombie Trail and a few others. This trail is well shaded and multiple kinds of animals can be seen - including deer, squirrels and birds. Was a good walk. Not very crowded.

This is a very nice hike. There are many wildflowers, birds and even cacti to view but, stay on the trail. My wife got a lot of chigger bites when she ventured off.

All trails seems to have the incorrect trail marked for this trail, just a heads up to anyone using this as a guideline. The trail is pretty clearly marked throughout one I found it. By the time I found it and realized it was not leading me on the same route all trails had marked, I got worried that I wouldn't have had enough time to finish it so I turned around. Overall, from what I saw it is very scenic. It seems like it would be so nice right after a rainfall with the waterfall (it was barely a trickle when we visited). I can see several spots on the trail where the rocks can be very slippery when wet or after a rain, so take that into consideration. Overall, scenic, clean, and dog friendly. Will be back.

Really liked this hike - beautiful rock formations - trail could use some more signage

Nice bike trail. Connects up with Al Foster and other trails and can get to Castlewood from it. Follows a miniature train track part of the way. Nice glade with cactus and pretty forest along the river.
