I loved this hike encountering different areas and terrain. Even made the little climb after the creek crossing with two dogs on leash. Very peaceful.

One of my favorite Rockbridge hikes.

Simple walk around a prairie.

Gave a 3 because of the uniqueness of the sink holes. Otherwise very ordinary.

The sink holes were fascinating. You were never out of the site of one. Nice loop from Conner's cave, around the hill top back to the cave.

Peaceful trail. Loved the long yellow grass flowing in the wind. Would love to come back in the spring.

Very nice grassy prairie area with some variety of scenery including small pods, numerous trees, shrubs, and habitats. The trail is wide and easy. Very nice for a relaxing stroll. Peaceful are as this trail is a little ways alway from the hustle.

This is a nice, easy-does-it kind of trail. It is by no means moderate and very easy, and would be good for kids. For grown-ups wanting a more challenging hike, not so... For example, the posted time at the trailhead is 2 hours and 45 minutes - I hiked it in 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The trail is well blazed (yellow), clear and well-kept. If you hike it counter-clockwise, most of the trail is downhill, save for the last ¼ mile or so back to the parking lot.

The one down(ish) side to this walk-in-the woods is the piles of doggy poo on the trial. Dog people, please, have fido do his business off-trail, for heaven’s sake!

Favorite trail at RBSP! Challenging enough to get a good workout, but still simple enough to enjoy my time in nature. I love how far from civilization I feel on this trail, very peaceful.

We went in December and it was beautiful! The trail on the west had some rough patches but nothing terribly difficult. No ticks! The trail was easy to follow and follows Gans Creek on the west side. Since the leaves were down there were some great views.

Very easy hike with well-groomed trail. Some pretty wooded sections, but altogether underwhelming scenery. Good for a very short little jaunt and for walking with dogs.

Moderate level was accurate. Saw a lot of different plants and trees. Different terrain though out the hike.

Nice walk through the woods. Did after Gans Creek trail so was anti-climatic.

A good trail that gets some traffic due to the proximity to Columbia. We did the loop on Bikes, and it was a bit rough for an old timer with a non-shock Stumpjumper with on/off road tyres. However, it was a fun outing. Met about 4 people the entire length of the trail. Agree that the new markers might clear up some confusion about the trail, as it was pretty well blazed.

Fun trail with awesome scenery!

Fun, nice scenery. Can be a little slippery on some of the declines which are muddy. Most muddy at the lower elevation. Looks like all the creeks dry up in the winter, looking forward to further exploring with in different seasons.

This was a great trail-- had to cross a creek- could be a little tough keeping your feet dry...

Yay for Park management! They replaced the faded trail markers with bright yellow ones and marked the trail more frequently. Being a novice I've been confused in the past. Trail does have a couple of creek crossings which are easy to navigate, especially in late summer through February. Inclines are moderate. Scenery more. Beautiful in spring and summer but rugged otherwise. I will return here more in the future as it is much more user friendly.

there is way to many people on this trail.. like on every trail in this state park. it wasnt to special. it is well maintained and marked tho.

Really well maintained. Well marked. We hiked it in a little under 2 hours. Lots of great creek crossings. Can't wait to come back in the fall.

Beautiful place and very lightly trafficked

Ok, very moderate effort required, a romp in the woods, needs better marking though, bridges across creek are highlights, does it really take that much to apply some decent trail badges? Picnic and staging area at trailhead are in excellent condition, clean and kept; why not pour about 2 hours' effort into letting hikers know where to go on this hike, since there are other trails in the complex?

My wife and I hiked this trail the other day and really enjoyed it. The varied terrain was nice and there were plenty of spots just to stop and admire the beauty.

Really nice trail even though the path is not well marked and it is easy to end up on another trail.

I love this trail when I need a quick nature fix. There are many sink holes and 2 gated caves along the way. The kids enjoyed the abandoned old silos. It's easy to make this hike longer because it connects with a couple other trails.
