Explore the most popular trails in Audubon Trails Nature Center with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

There are several trails here that meander through the woods and the the prairie that they are trying to restore. Also, a creek that divides the two areas. ice hidden area in Rolla. Some highway noise but not overwhelming.

Great beginner trail! Trail also has many information points on local fauna!

very easy hike would be great for testing gear. the field portion is like a swamp if it's wet outside.

Nice couple trails. One around the field and one through the woods. Both are easy. The stream between the two is the best part. Can't get away from the highway sounds but the proximity and ease of use more than make up for some background noise. Can't wait to see it in the spring with all the flowers.

I needed a hike like this to get my knees tested (with a heavy pack) for the season. Just visiting the area and was surprised to find this in town.

Beautiful views, nice paths and birds. Although the lack of rain was evident in the creek beds it didn’t take away from the peaceful experience. The abundance of yellow finches flying in the meadows was like a dream. The bathroom at the trail head was clean and nicely maintained also. My only request would be that the trails were better marked. Will definitely return in the fall.

Fairly nice area. Our hike started out great but it was fairly wet so some of the areas were swamped over. We would try this one again if we were in the area and it was more dry.

I’m affiliated with the organization that owns the nature center. That said, this is a wonderful gem of a trail due to the number of ecosystems it passes through. It mostly consists of a north and south loop divided by a creek (although there is a paved portion of the trail near the parking lot that is wheelchair accessible). Each loop has a cut off trail if you don’t feel like walking the entire loop. The south loop passes through mostly deciduous and Shortleaf pine forest and is well blazed. It is more of a workout than the north loop since it has steeper ascents and descents. The north loop passes by a creek before circling the remnant prairie and savannah full of wild flowers and entering woodlands and passing by a glade. Birds are plentiful and demonstrate why this is a stop on The Great Missouri Birding Trail. A doe with a fawn stopped to stare at me just a few feet off this part of the trail. What a fun trail!

These trails are nice! Yellow Jackets have made themselves at home by the maps so please be careful!!!

These trails are off to a great start. I look forward to seeing the development of this area. I would recommend these loops for children and dogs.

There are 3 easy scenic loops that all connect. The park is a combination of remnant prairie, open woodlands, savanna, pine forest and glade. Many different kinds of birds to be seen. Earth trails are easy to follow. There is one very short trail that is wheelchair accessible, although when I was there today the field it ran through was bulldozed down but still accessible just not pretty anymore. This is a sweet little get away within the city of Rolla.
