Very pretty, hike through wooded areas, field, back into the woods, and back around to walk along the lake. Main trail is 2 miles took my family about an hour to walk at a quick pace. The name describes the trail "rocky." Overall a very nice trail, secluded wouldnt recommend for small children unless you dont mind a work out to have to carry them in certain areas.

Great hike! Great views

It was alright... Nothing extreme and beautiful woods. All good views are obstructed. However it connects to the Squaws Revenge trail which has amazing views.

A very fun trail full of all sorts of great views in the early spring, fall and winter. A few elevation changes but nothing difficult. A fun, quick hike.

Beautiful

A little muddy today but great views. Enjoyable

Best trail at the lake without driving to Ha Ha Tonka. Nice variety of meadow, lakeside, and overlook. Pretty rocky but not too muddy, even the day after a rain. Took about an hour at a moderate pace.

Great trail . Easily accessible, well-maintained And beautiful views. Perfect for a short hike or even a run.

Nice trail along the lake and woods. Pet friendly but I wouldn't recommend it for small children, narrow in places with bluff on one side & steep decline to river on other side. Lots of birds, saw a hawk carrying dinner away. White pelicans on the lake--more than 50! Terns, herons, chickadees, large woodpecker, blue jays, and more

great running trails. All three loops equal about 13.2 miles with around 900 ft of gain total. no steep climbs. lots of roots, rocks, and a few small water crossings.

Well maintained trail. It's a beautiful fall hike; vibrant colors and great view of lake along the bluffs. Only saw one other hiker so it feels like a hidden gem. Provides a great break from all the bustle of main street just minutes away.

Saw 2 bucks down in the valley!

Great trail for active kids and their parents. Nine year old handled the rocky terrain without a problem. Great views of the lake.

I only completed about an hour of the trail. I will definitely head back and complete the entire thing sometime.

The 2nd loop overlook on the trail is worth it to see such a great view of the lake. At the end of the trail was a small meadow you go through before entering the parking lot. The meadow was my favorite part of the trail.

Great, quick trail, great place to take a break from a long road trip. Close to the highway and restaurants, but quiet and serene. Beautiful views of lake, lovely walk through forest and grassland. Slightly slippery in parts. Swimming area close by.

Terrible. It was the worst hike I ever had, the hike from hell. Expect to wander through thick brush, a lot of spiders, no clear path at all. The best part- chiggers all over our bodies, in our shoes, and then infesting our car.

scenic views, easy hike

Cool bridges and a cave.

good family hike with nice views at overlook and back down to the lake edge on second loop. a little rocky throughout, so watch your step.

The trail was easy to follow, but the view of the lake was absolutely horrible, blocked by trees. The whole trail was sandy, and covered in horse poop and giant spider webs. We had to get sticks to wave in front of us, because of how many times we were hit right in the face by a cob web accompanied by a spider. Maybe a better trail to do in the winter, when spiders are dead, and it isn't too hot. We went in mid-July.

Very poorly maintained- lots of climbing over fallen trees. Blue markers were easy to spot at the beginning but grew further and further apart. All of the creek beds are bone dry.

Great for walking but to narrow and for running.

Easy trail that runs next to bluffs overlooking the lake and through the woods. We walked along the shoreline, then through the campground before finding the trail again near the theater.

We had a good morning hike here. It was very quiet, very rocky, not the best for small children. My three year old had a bit of trouble walking this but still a nice hike we found a morel mushroom and cool rocks. The cave was neat.

Wonderful view of the lake. Very Rocky. Wear appropriate shoes!

Relatively easy hike. Very little elevation, but the path is quite rocky in places that may make their hike difficult for some.
