Lots and lots of deer. I think we saw 18 on the hike. My family hiked this on 5/27. There is about a half mile section through the woods with tons of wildlife and nice gentle slopes, but campgrounds and the road are visible in this portion that take away from the ambience. The other mile is along the water that is rocky and much of it runs along the lake on one side with a cliff rock face on the other. The views were very good and the terrain was varying with logs, rocks, trees, flowers and mild changes in elevation. We did not pass any people on the trail. It was our favorite thing we did in the lake of the Ozarks area.

Would be a great trail if it was kept up more. Almost half of it was 6 inch wide trail separating knee high weeds. found about 10 seed ticks on me despite using much bug spray. I would definitely recommend wearing pants and waterproof shoes if it has rained in the past few days because it gets very wet. Definitely not the best LOS State Park trail. I think I'll stick with Rocky Top trail. Much cleaner.

A little muddy right now but easy to work around it! We took our time and stopped in a few spots...found 4 tics between the 2 of us at the end. We would go again for sure!

Trail was great for a young family. It was challenging at time for the 3 & 7 year olds. Beautiful views!!!

I like this trail, but I’d say it was easy and not moderate. No Lake views; however, there are a few stream crossings that are nice. It’s definitely a multipurpose trails (read: there were a lot of ruts from horse hooves and a large amount of horse manure on the day we went), but a nice 4 miles through the woods.

Short trail to the overlook, which is pretty in itself. Nothing very noteworthy otherwise. Muddy today, but generally an easy detour immediately off trail. Not very busy.

Short trail with a narrow view of Grandglaize Arm. There’s a minor uphill towards the end (clockwise). Nothing particularly scenic or memorable. Not very crowded at least. Not likely to return.

Lovely view, don’t know why it’s rated moderate it really isn’t. Just watch out because this time of the year is very muddy. Would do again.

Nice variety of terrains, views are worth the walk. Take the second loop you won’t regret it.

Little bit of everything on this trail, up and down hill, shade and sunlight, streams, an old bridge that’s torn out

The trail is a little confusing but just have a map handy. Beautiful trail with lots of streams and good views. Did anyone see the tombstone all out by itself?

Hiked this yesterday with our 5 & 7 yr old and our dog. The trail was pretty wet in areas but everyone managed it just fine!

Very rocky, but one of the few trails you can get really lost on if you want. The path is very simple to follow, but if you wanna get away you can easily hike in to the back country. Easily enjoyable hike.

Really great hike. Started off a bit rocky I assume bc of the horses and bikes the are allowed on it? After a while tho you come out to an overlook that allows you to see a good chunk of the lake. This view was perfect. Could have stayed here for hours watching a bald eagle.
