A herd of deer, gaggles of geese, 3 eagles, 2 hornet nests, & 1 train.

I love this trail. So much to see, trains, tugs, barges, herds of deer, groundhogs and today a beautiful Bald Eagle. Blue Herons and so many SeaGulls. Clean restrooms at the JB and cleaner ones at River City Casino. I always pop into the Casino for a free soda or coffee. What’s not to like?

Well maintained paved path. We saw an eagle on our first trip out.

Nice wide paved trail with some small hills.

Easy family walk. Lots of chances to see deer in the evening time. The park is lush with them.

Will have better views of the river once the fall comes and leaves drop. Better for biking.

Beautiful temperatures for this hike today. Saw several deer laying close to the path in the woods. All paved and no steep hills.

Easy, paved, and clean. Lots of deer visible and fairly busy.

I was pleasantly surprised that this trail gave me a bigger workout than what I initially expected. Great views of the Mississippi River. Giving a four stars because some areas were kind of overgrown and not pretty like the rest of the trail

The trail is an easy walk and paved the whole way. There are nice river views. The trail is very sunny and meant even in 60 degree weather we were very warm. Nice for dogs, but would probably be too hot on their feet in warmer weather.

easy walking trail, but the giant casino kind of ruins the mood for me.

good trail! even though its located kind of in a city there’s plenty of woods to forget about it. even though it’s still winter and cold i saw TONS of deer. paved paths that are easy to walk with one or two low hills. will come back when there’s more leaves on the trees :)

This trail is on the easy side of moderate. Compared to other moderate trails of similar length, like Powder Valley and Lime Kiln, this is a cake walk. Well paved, with some extended shallow to moderate inclines, but no steep hills. Take it slow for a leisurely stroll, or pick up the pace for a cardio workout. Excellent for joggers.

This is an awesome place for a family walk there’s obstacles for kids and there are cool army machines like a tank and an army satellite right when you get there!i really recommend coming here!

This trail starts with a very nice parking lot with clean, nice bathrooms. There is a very well done Memorial also close to parking lot. The bridge takes you right down to the river and it has wide paved trail. The views of the tankers passing by is really pretty cool. The trail is all paved or has cobblestones. There is a longer trail that continues through the park which I seen several deer at. I really enjoyed it! I will definitely be back!

My Go To day pack trail . Jump onto the Greenway trail and follow it to the Casino and it becomes almost six miles; all paved. Rolling hills, lots of locals out strolling. The deer are almost tame.

Love it and you can watch the deer on one side trail and river with boats and barges on other side of trail.

Beautiful place to walk. Especially in fall. Deer everywhere.

This is a very easy paved flat trail that runs along the Mississippi River from Jefferson Barracks Park, passes next to the River City casino and currently ends at River Des Peres. You can easily add more to your walk if you head over to Jefferson Barracks Park - there is a nice trail over there as well. In the future the Mississippi Greenway trail is supposed to connect to the new trail coming up from Cliff Cave County Park. Plenty of parking is available right next to this trail.

This is a easy to find great trail. I would have given it a 5, but there are barges and tugs that line the river and the fumes were terrible today. We will be back!!
