Trail was great - waterfall was dry in early August (duh - but with the lake levels so high, we thought maybe it would be flowing). Kids still played in the water - cool and clear. Wish I lived closer so I could do this one again in the spring!

Water crossing before trailhead was high, could pass with truck/SUV and some caution. Falls were dry, lots of horseflies, but clear water. Still a nice hike, but will wait for cooler weather before going again. Only saw two other groups of hikers in the day/night I was there.

Nice wooded trail with glade top views. Bring more water than you think you need if hiking during summer months. The thick grass and foliage makes it VERY humid. The second half of the trail heading west to east is also very narrow and easy to go off trail on a dry creek bed. Keep a close eye on where the trail goes. Also, lots of ticks.

Bull Shoals Lake was at 692’. With a standard SUV we could not cross the low water bridge to access the trailhead

Wonderful. Did the trail counterclockwise, and would like to try the other direction as the incline at the end made for slow going. Some parts of the trail were overgrown and there were plenty of bugs out. Sadly the falls didn’t have much water, but that made for easier creek crossings.

This is a wonderful trail. We did the route counter clockwise. Only thing we did not plan on was the lack of water the first 5 miles. This is due to the time of year and lack of rain. We did not fill up on water till the falls.

Great trail and can’t wait to do it again. A little rocky at parts, a few parts of the trail were muddy on the way in but had mostly dried out by the time we came back the next day. We camped at one of the “established” camp areas around the falls. Saw a few snakes around the water and a few ticks in the camp area.

Beautiful views and nice access to the stream that flows through. However I wouldn’t recommend this trail due to the tick infestation. Found 20+ ticks on me. Think this is because the trail hasn’t been brushed back.

Easy to see the trail, great views, bring a bathing suit! 3 1/2 hours round trip with a 30 minute break to swim. Prepare to walk up hill!

This is an awesome hike! the trail is fairly dry, even with the recent rain. The water is clear and cold, perfect for a refreshing swim. We started at 0900, and when we made it out at 1315 we had only seen 6 people.

All water levels are very high in this area. Trail was a great hike today with quite a bit of mud and even some running water down the trail. The water at the Falls felt great for a swim. Super clear water. Saw one other group hiking.

My wife is new to backpacking and this was a challenge for her. There had been a storm go through the day before so lots of water and mud. The pole hollow leg of the trail loop was overgrown and not well marked in parts. Overall we had a great time and a lot of enjoyment. The downside was we never seen the falls following the trail in the app.
