This trail is confusing... the arrows point the wrong way and there is no clear trail. Won’t be back.

I found this to be a great, quiet trail on a Monday in August. Going counter-clockwise gives you a pretty easy, flat start and then a nice scenic view near the end.

I’m not a newbie or an expert on a mtb, but this is definitely at black diamond trail. Took an hour to go 6.7 miles and bailed out where the trail crosses Allenton Rd. Half of it was a blast, the other half was impossible for me to climb, just too technical with mainly large rocks. Even going down some of the rocky lines was no joke. Tons of really cool natural terrain. I could see an expert level rider enjoying the trail. You come up the back of Six Flags and can watch the screaming eagle roller coaster swoosh by. The skill level required is above my pay grade.

This was a great trail. Clocked it at about 7.2 miles if you do the actual Declue trail, the one in which you follow the orange leaf through the trail. Our dog had a few ticks that we had to pull off of her. Overall, the trail was free from bugs and ticks. We covered ourselves in lots of bug spray. Great trail, easy to follow!

We had a good day. Bugs are not bad. Trail is challenging. Horse poop but no horses on the trail. Shady the whole trail.

Had tons of ticks on beginning section of trail. Wasn't bad once it merged with the horse trail.

Pretty trail in good shape. Easy to follow (orange oak leaf blazes) once you get on it. No bugs to speak of. Six flags noise is really really loud on South end of trail. Just about anywhere else in metro area is more quiet.

good trail for a workout. no real views.

Started from the visitors center and went CCW. When I got near the end of the trail I followed the signage across the blacktop and ended up going down and old trail over several downed trees. They must have started a new trail that I missed, or rode down the road. Once I got to the equestrian center I found the trail again. Other than that it was a nice, wide pretty easy trail through the valley. Lots of trails in this park, you could spend days here. I went on a Saturday morning in June and saw 8 bikers, 6 horses, 2 hikers and 2 runners.

This was a fun yet challenging trail. Perfect day for a hike. Not a lot of bugs, a couple horses and a couple mountain bikers. Surprising encountered more hikers than other people enjoying the trail. Lot of fun. Challenging switchbacks at the end of our hike today.

Very hilly area. It seemed like I was going up hill most of the time. I couldn't find the beginning of the trail and had to take the road down to where the trail crosses Allenton. Not a bad trail 3 stars because of the hills and the trail is full of horse poop. I think it's a really popular trail for horses.

Too many trees down and horses have pretty much made this trail horrible for hikers.. would not recommend for hikes.

Only hiked 2 miles in but it was great! Hills were a good leg workout and there was a mix of dirt and rocks. Looking forward to going farther next time!

Trail is 4.7 miles. Nice hike that’s not overly exerting. After a hard rain the day before it surprisingly wasn’t too muddy.
