I love walking around Forest Park - this path is as good as any. Beautiful fountain and structures everywhere.

I love the zoo more than anything in St. Louis so I can't rate it badly - however, I stop way too often to consider it a hike. It probably would provide a great workout if I had it in me to ignore the animals.

I used to love this path back when I roller-bladed on a regular basis. It provides a good challenge with a lot of variety. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners as there are some pretty steep downhills (had one bad wipeout myself, but luckily nothing broken).

Didn't finish because the little dog got tired. had to cut through. But as always beautiful trail

One of the most beautiful parks in the city. I do prefer the more secluded trails, but for being so close to me this is great! It was nice to be able to cut threw the park to get back to my car since I had to be somewhere and timed my walk wrong. I would rate it easy, no rough terrain at all.

10/12/19 Probably more easy than intermediate. Interstate noise sucks on the south side of the park, but overall nice for the middle of the city.

I have visited for the hot air baloon glow show and it was quit amazing the park has a good cycle track too, trails and fishing, a park that we can experience a lot.

Great trail inside forest park. Ducks, bridges, runners, walkers, paddle boarders. Very busy trail, old trees. Highly recommend.

Best city park!

This native St. Louisan will always love Forest Park. This trail has a little something for everyone, and plenty of activities to enjoy along the way if you’re wanting to make a whole day of it. I personally enjoy more quiet, out of the way trails, whereas the traffic can be rather loud along much of this route. However, it will remain a go-to spot for me.

One of my favorites and so much to see!

I think it’s an excellent trail that offers easy access, great views and on occasion, you may even see the police horses in the corral that are eager for petting. The trail also has plenty of benches and a few water recharge stations. It’s a must do in the city.

Amazing stroll around the park with my dog on our way through St. Louis. Make sure you make a stop at the boat house restaurant if you have a dog in the middle of the park! They are super friendly .

This is one of the most scenic urban park that I've ever seen. The grand basin area in particular is amazing which overlook the art museum. The attractions in this park, the art museum and zoo are a must see destination if you're in St Louis. I find the history museum a bit of a bore though.

Beautifully built trail along historic Forest Park. Give yourself plenty of time to explore. The Jewel Box is at the end of the park, and further along you hit the Zoo. Great trail, easy for children and pets. It gets congested early, and be warned there will be a LOT of people. Its not a wilderness hiking trail; it's the main path through Forest Park. However, it's terrific for jogging, biking, and running/walking. You can meander off the path and find little spots for peace and relaxation. All the museums are free, Art and History plus Science Center. This path will lead you to each however it does not lead to the Arch. You have to take a different trail to that but all the Museums can be accessed by this trail.

A great trail for walking, biking, etc. there are so many ways you can allow yourself to “get lost” wandering through the park. Or, choose to stay on the main path. Easy to follow. Water bottle refilling stations are along the trail. It is most congested along the north side of the park/trail.

I really love the walking trails in this park. You can hit the pave trail or the gravel trail. I like that you can really get a nice work out (walking). There are a lot of hills through out the park that makes your work out a little different than just walking a flat trail. Depending on the time that you go (or if there is an event in the park) it can get a little congested. I like going early in the morning. But whenever you go, you will enjoy yourself.

Tourists and residents alike I suggest getting a Forest Park Guide book or read on the history of the park/area before embarking on park exploration, this will make the experience more enriching.
