Came on October 27th and didn’t know trail would be closed until we got here and ‘trail closed’ sign was at trailhead :(

The road to get to this trail is closed on Sundays

Went in early June before 8am and it was so humid and had so many biting deer flies that it was intolerable. Even worse, we didn’t see any wildlife except a few dragonflies and 2 butterflies. We did hear a white eyed virio but never saw it.

Flat and level crushed limestone trail. Swampy coastal riverine environment. Approximately 7 mile round trip.

I have only been here once but it's so close to where I live I will definitely go back. There's a boat launch at the end of Logtown road that is perfect for launching my kayak. The Bogue Homa is just off the East Pearl river and a nice quite spot to fish and relax.

The trail is very boring and flat. Nothing much to see. It is about 5 miles total and not over 6 as they say. Easy to hike.

easy. very enjoyable. plants and landmarks are well marked on trail

Nice maintained Trail with a mix of Pine and Cypress forest unfortunately for some reason they close it from Nov. through Feb.
