Located on scenic Grenada Lake, Hugh White State Park offers the finest outdoor recreation amenities available, all nestled in a setting unmatched in natural beauty. Grenada Lake is best known as a haven for crappie fishermen, but is also well-stocked with bass, bream, and catfish. Hugh White State Park is centrally located between Memphis, Tennessee and Jackson, Mississippi.

We got there around 0830 in the AM, beautiful clear day, lots of deer active in the woods. The first half is harder than the back half, but it was easily hiked in shoes. If its recently been raining, I'd wear boots, there were parts that would be muddy if it was wet.

Well marked. Moderate hills to climb.

I have started walking this trail regularly to get ready for longer backpacking trips. It is well maintained (although a recent storm brought down some trees) lots of stairs and steep inclines. There are a couple of nice resting spots with great views.

Good trail with some challenging parts if you take the outer loop!

Another great hike with family and friends. Our group ranged in ages from 2-60(something LOL) with fitness levels that covered the full spectrum. We made the hike in a comfortable 1 hour. One guy RAN it in 20 minutes flat and the repeated the trail with the group :-0

This can be a challenging trail for beginners especially in the Mississippi summer humidity. We are using this trail in preparation for a Spartan Sprint we will run as a team in September in Nashville TN.

We really enjoyed this trail. It's easy to follow and few good inclines and declines along the way. We appreciated the tree canopy, because even with a real feel temp of 108 it still made for a nice hike

Loved this trail! We visited this past Saturday and had a blast. As mentioned before, there are a few steep inclines and some stairs that need repairing, but overall, lots of fun and beautiful scenery!

Fun trail! A few steep inclines and downhills made for a better challenge which is hard to find around this area. Only saw a few people and dogs :)

A good trail. As in other reviews there are some steep sections with stairs that need repair. We have hiked it with our children and they get tired toward the end but have completed the hike several times. it is one of the best in the area.

Great trail with some steep inclines and stair ways. Some of the stair steps need replacing so be careful. The trail winds around the overflow spillway at Grenada lake. The surrounding steep hills are populated with some real impressive white oak trees.
