Fun to explore. It can be easy to get turned around though, as some of the inner trails are not well marked.

Beautiful wilderness area.

My wife and I recommend this trail for anyone getting into hiking or who wants a nice scenic hike for a day. Lovely location and nice trail. It is decently challenging in a couple spots, but nothing hard core. All around great hike.

Nice well marked, and maintained trails. This area has meadows, dense forest, lakes, and wetlands. The park is in the process of replacing all the old fiberglass markers with wood post at the trail intersections. They have added covered information kiosk at the parking areas. The only issue is noise from the gun club near by. This can be avoided If you go in the early morning during the week.

Nice trails.

Great Outdoor hiking trail. Just don't come on Wednesdays and cut the trails with lawn mowers.

Nice trials but one thing, TICKS, a lot of them. I understand there’s really nothing to do about them, but this trail head was really bad.

Hidden gem with a bald eagle nest, stream, and lakes. And connects into the larger Stony Creek trails for free.

Good spot for a day trip. Pretty easy trail. Nice and clean. Don’t forget to sign the trail log

Nice wooded trail with some changes in elevation and tree coverage.

Easy to follow trail! My dog and I loved it! Will definitely do it again!!!

Did this hike with my son and we loved it! Very easy trail with many nice placards to read as well as many scenic resting spots with benches.

Great afternoon hike. Will do it again in the spring.

Nice single track, decent elevation and little traffic. Many loops to accumulate miles.

Nice trail with abundant wildlife. Little to no use in the early am during the week.

West Branch loop is by far the best in the area for trail running.

I love this trail. It takes us about 40 min. (with our dog stopping at most trees along the way) and I like the hills. Moderate, quick work out. Love the woods!

A lot of trails to choose from with beautiful scenery. If you choose to hike, beware that you will need to frequently move out of the way of many mountain bikers.

Nice trail but was not expecting the hills. It is a great hill workout but if you are looking for an easy flat run this is not the trail for you.

awesome trail smooth pavement we brought the kids with the bike trailer had a great time

Monday, April 10, 2017

Warning there is a $10 entrance fee for this hike. We did the 6 mile loop, it is on a paved bike path and close to a road which had quite a bit of traffic.

The ski trails at the park are awesome! I went on a hike on them and it was beautiful. They would also be good for mountain biking but are very hilly so it would be a lot of work peddling uphill.

Was a little muddy, but a solid hike without much traffic. I plan to go back when it's drier.

No one at gate after five, restroom by boats smells like the Third World, park is beautiful and full of animal life. -w.

Fun nice trail lots of elevation gains

Friday, March 11, 2016

Awesome trail! First section has a great view of the lake with trails wide enough for multiple people to hike/bike along. Pretty easy elevation changes that get your heart pumping a bit. This is a great trail to get a few miles in when you don't have all day! I would definitely recommend it to beginners and experienced hikers alike.
