Nice trail - a few spots of mud but they were easy to get around. Lots of bikes so be aware as you go down the path that someone might be coming around the blind corners fast. Lots of shade and beautiful views.

Great trail!!! Definitely going back. Great workout, lots to see, very beautiful, and plenty of elevation changes. Lots of bird watching too. Only issue a lot of silk worms, besides that no complaints

A good place to watch the sunset.. it made me cry! #seriously #oncethedeershowedup

What can I say but best trail I’ve hiked in Michigan so far. Nice distance for a loop and good mix of terrain. Lots of beautiful PURE Michigan to look at. I liked it a lot and will return with the little ones. It took me right at 7 hours to finish by my self with a little 20 min lunch break at about 11 miles . Not crowded at all but did see a couple sets of hikers and a few mountain bikes but other than that it was all to my self and amazing.

Did half of this trail with two small kids. Very pleasant.

Hard to find trail head. We parked off of parkview dr and skipped the first loop as it was just a residential area.

Good little loop for a quick hike with the pups!

I loved this trail. It was beautiful and challenging. I won’t, however, hike in this park again until after these COVID19 restrictions have been loosened. Trail etiquette was almost non-existent. It really is ok to at least acknowledge someone. I actually felt uncomfortable here. 25% of these folks were genuine and practiced trail etiquette ( which doesn’t mean I stop every time) , and were friendly enough to say hello. The other 75% must be so incredibly stressed and scared that they’ve lost their manners. So sad because this is a beautiful park. And you can tell someone has been attempting to keep it maintained. Strangest hike I have ever been on. I would recommend this trail for the beauty and challenges it presents. I would not recommend this trail to someone who is a serious hiker. Great for families.

Excellent trail. Mix of walkers and bikers. Limited elevation but lots of rolling hills. Beautiful lake views. Would recommend, great for dogs on leashes. Not ideal for someone >70 if not in half decent shape.

Well maintained state trail. Plenty of up hill climbs to get the heart pumping. Plenty of people around. This is a share trail with bikers.

A great day hike suited for most skill levels. Nice variety of wetlands, forest, and open meadows. Some beautiful walnut, sugar maple, and oak trees on this hike; keep your eyes out for wild crab apple in the spring. Blind lake is a great lunch stop; you can camp there with a permit. Use caution when crossing Hadley road and for mountain bikers on the last half a mile or so

Included the Gosling Loop in our 13 miles today since we had never done this section of the Potowatami. The DNR needs to clean up the Gosling Lake boat ramp area. Other than that it’s ok. The trail is predominantly a single rut bike trail. Way more bikers than hikers. Go counterclockwise or you may get run over.

I loved this trail. Just hiked it on a whim. Very pretty and the trail was surprisingly clean and well taken care of. Best state park trail I have hiked this year. (The year of COVID19) Highly recommend!

All types of terrain types besides mud! Moderate foot traffic, mixed with some bikers. Spotted a few snakes along the path as well. Great hiking loop!

A really great trail that is hilly and have some amazing views. I loved my time on the trail and will come back again.

Good trail, very busy with bikes in several areas. Love the hills and the terrain was scenic. The trail was very well maintained.

Great trail!

trails were great today. nothing to muddy. remember to walk counter clockwise.

Pinckney has the best trails in SE Michigan hands down. We’ve hiked every inch of trail here. With the exception of the Gosling Lake Loop every shared trail has room for hikers and bikers. Just make sure you hike counterclockwise. Here the bikers expect hikers to be on the trail. The bikers on other “shared trails” in the area exhibit a sense of resentment that you’re on their “mountain biking trail”. Pinckney has it all. Great views, lakes, streams, and super elevation gains.

Nice hike with bridges and ponds.

There is more of a trailhead and some parking on Parkview Drive. I wouldn’t try to park where the map says it starts, as it is a private road. Just keep driving on Parkview and you’ll see a little parking spot on the left. The trail was nice with lovely views of the lakes from hilltops and a nice area with picnic tables to take a break at on Blind Lake.

Easy and well maintained

If you’re hiking this trail, hike in counter clockwise since there are quite a few mountain bikers. Awesome hills, nice views in the spring. Hiked it liked it

Good trail, a few small hills and a couple roots and rocks here or there. Early spring so trees are still bare, but not many bugs or much mud and lots of sunshine. Hikers go counter clockwise.

Great trail for a quiet hike in the woods. Passed a few other hikers and bikers, but it was still peaceful. The trail was in great condition.

Not a real trail, "trailhead" is located in a private neighborhood, no signage. If you end up lost and confused like we did, just do the crooked lake trail instead
