Hiked the Baldy trail to what people said was a beautiful view of the bay. All you can see are the tree tops. Avery very small bit of water. Climb wasn't bad. I went in backwards. Yes very step sandy hill to climb up if u go this way. Or go stairs up first and sand hill down. Easy to moderate trail.

I’m not sure who rated this trail as moderate. There are several places where the trail is almost completely vertical!! Beautiful, for sure, but definitely not easy. But also not long. It isn’t well marked, either. Definitely glad to have the app.

Trails through a beautiful dune forest. There’s a nearby loop - “Old Baldy Trail” that goes up a lot of stairs and leads to a platform with benches and a great view of the bay. It’s not part of this loop, but it’s close by and my favorite part of the park.
