Orchard Beach State Park is situated on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. A stairway leads from the campground to the beach and self-guided hiking trails are adjacent to the park.

It is a beautiful Moderat trail

There's nothing much to see. The trail is a lot different than the map shows it to be. There's too much walking through fields and open areas for me to consider it "hiking". If you're going to go to Manistee to hike, it's better to go to Big M or hike along the shoreline.

Very pretty

Very easy walk. Can park at trailhead or across the street at the park. Spotted a single deer, heard plenty of birds. Hiked the day after a rainstorm but ground was not muddy and mosquitos only found us if we stopped moving.

Great quick walking trail that brings you through forested areas and wide open fields. Great for watching wildlife and taking your dog for a walk.
