Leelanau State Park, located at the tip of the little finger on the beautiful Leelanau Peninsula, where over 1,300 acres are waiting for visitors to enjoy. The park has the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum, a rustic campground, two mini cabins, 8.5 miles of hiking/skiing trails and a picnic area.

Great views at the end, trails were well marked, easy and peaceful hike

they must have put up new markers recently. I was very impressed with the placement of maps along the trails. and the fall colors were gorgeous!

easy, well-maintained trail. I was very impressed with the markers and blazes. no way to get lost! beautiful fall colors.

It’s a pretty nice trail, but the bugs were awful- definitely bring repellent along. The overlook was okay, but the trail out to the lake shore was great.

I love this trail, it goes through so many beautiful parts of the woods, you really get a taste of everything. I saw a lot of wildlife, which is exciting for me and something I absolutely love. Because this spring has been a wet one, there was a lot of deep mud on the trail. My dogs and I were definitely in the lake at some points. I want to try again in the mid summer and see where the lake is at.

I absolutely love this trail. I’ve hiked this one for years with my dogs, and I’ve never gotten tired of it. The views are incredible, and it isn’t too hard, so it’s great for families and small children.

needs better markings on the actual trail, we definitely thought we were lost for a while there
