Variety trail. Shade, sun, dry path, muddy path, some uphill and some downhill. Wide trail. Can push double stroller, but is a workout.

beautiful trail, and although there were more people than I am used to seeing it wasnt too bad. The birds and wildlife and views are beautiful. Ran across a handful of people talking so loudly on cellphones that it was annoying, other than that it was thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable.

We loved this trail- many animals, lots of nice views, easy for kids.

Really pretty and super easy to hike. Lots of traffic through here though, there was horse and dog poop on the trail as well.

Nice trail (super easy to hike). There are LOTS of people that come through here and stop along the trails to bird watch though. It's a bit muddy in certain areas.

Perfect trail with kids. SO much wildlife! We fed tons of birds and chipmunks. Do not bring dogs or feed the cranes because they will stalk you!

One of our family favorites. Bring black seeds for the birds! Beautiful and easy. We even saw an albino deer one time!

Early in the trail it’s pretty muddy and you lose the trail for a bit.

Great hike. Varied terrain. We didn’t see that much wildlife, though. One small portion of the A loop was flooded.

Path was well maintained and heavily trafficked on a weekend. Great birdwatching opportunities along the whole hike.

Lots of wildlife.

Hard not to take this hike slower than usual... so much wildlife to observe. We saw over 15 deer, egrets, and other birds too. Very nice trail with many benches.

Great accessible trail suitable for many abilities. We hiked the trail on Easter Sunday during time of social distancing and didn’t pass another hiker on the nearly 3 mile loop. Nice wide dirt or grassy trail in most areas, primarily shaded areas mid day. Rolling hills and lots of interesting trees and meadows. Good variety of birds to see and hear. Perfect family hike - good for a range of ages and fitness levels.

beautiful trail. The wildlife is not timid. In the 3 miles we had seen 5 deer, a turkey, multiple cranes, fish, frogs and plenty of wild birds that will eat from your hand. Great day

Pretty heavily trafficked trail. Easy and well marked. No dogs allowed due to the sandhill crane habitat at any trail besides the paved one at Kensington.

This was a very beautiful trail. There was a lot to see and it was a gorgeous journey the whole way. Very easy too, so very relaxing. A lot of wildlife. Tons of chipmunks just scurrying across right in front of you. It ends up by the nature center, which was great too.

Good trail for beginner hikers. Mostly flat land but some incline and down hill. Trail goes around WildWing Lake. Nice dock at the end for bird viewing.

Easy, lots of good nature views, occasional deer and plenty of birds over the lake. Family friendly.

Fairly lightly trafficked on a beautiful August evening. There was a lot of wildlife, particularly sandhill cranes (throughout), red-winged blackbirds (on the Wildwing lake), wild turkeys, and bunnies. The cranes can be territorial if with their babies - one chased us and pecked at my friend's foot! Best to give a wide berth. There were a TON of mosquitos and other bugs on the Chickadee portion, which is the most heavily wooded. Fairly flat and easy trail, with only one small hill I can remember around the lake.
