Muddy in places, but not terrible. Overall, really nice trail.

Little muddy in spots and the trail is overgrown and not marked well in sports but the views of the lakes and rivers were very nice and most of the trail was shaded.

The trail outlined here is actually a subset of the Elba Equestrian Complex in the Genesee county parks. It is a shared use trail for hikers and horseback riding. The portion near the equestrian campground tends to be muddy. The area is also known as the hogback hills due to the glacial formations. The hills overlook ponds and the backwaters of the Holloway Reservoir, providing beautiful views. There are many downed logs throughout the trail. While it is shared use, both horse use and hiking use are generally light. Trails are not well marked - it is best to go with someone who knows the area. However, the trails converge so as long as you maintain a generally north or south direction you will end up where you want to go.

If you're a horse rider this is a great trail, wouldn't suggest it for hiking due to horse traffic

someone rated this trail poorly because of horse traffic, however they actually wandered into the Alba equestrian park section of the entire place and missed the majority of the hiking trail. If I have time I will try to edit the trail for this park, though this website is far from intuitive
