Holland State Park offers an expansive, sandy beach along Lake Michigan, two large campgrounds and a beautiful view of sailboats and sunsets. The park is divided into two separate units; one along Lake Michigan and the other along Lake Macatawa.
Amazing views if running at sunrise when getting back on top of the hill. Stairs give your legs a good warm up for the various elevations. Nice short track and it can be extended by staying on the circular track. All branches are clearly marked.
Great view from the top! Also some neat trails off to the sides with various elevations and a nice variety of trees and plants. I would recommend sticking to the inner (more south eastern) loops of the trails, unless you like the idea of hiking right next to a paved private drive.
