Nice trail if you’re just going for a long walk. It’s flat and very straightforward. A LOT of horseback riders (and manure) to navigate around.

Great walk in the woods. I especially enjoyed the signage from the MSU forestry program that identified trees and various management techniques.

The scenery is absolutely breathtaking! This is one of the few places in the Michiana area where you can find old-growth forests. Michigan State University uses the 500 plus acres for research purposes. I will say, if you're a fly fisherman, you'll enjoy the brown trout fishing here! I also enjoy the fact that there is a large amount of biodiversity indicating that the ecosystem here is really healthy.

Nice and quiet. The map on alltrials isn't accurate anymore; the trail does not cross Decatur Rd anymore. It's about three miles. Lots of horse poop on the trail, but hey, that's hiking. Great hike for a hot day; you are completely covered by tree canopy. Not too much traffics but did pass trail biker and three horses. 3 stars instead of four because trail markings were confusing to read and understand.

Great trails, but tough to find at first. Once you find the trail head the trails are fairly well marked. The difficultly isn't bad at all, and the woods are beautiful. The mosquitos were bad around the streams but otherwise an awesome trail. Great for a light day-hike.

So beautiful and green. Not a strenuous hike, but the scenery is worth the trip. The trees are amazing, you will see trees as old at 300yrs old!!

This is a really easy trail, something tiny like 50 feet of elevation change throughout the entire trail. It can be completed in an hour or two at a very leisurely pace. There are some parts that are not maintained very well, but it's still acceptable. Try not to go after it rains, it gets really muddy in some parts.
