Fort Wilkins Historic State Park offers camping and day use facilities and features a restored 1844 military outpost and one of the first lighthouses on Lake Superior. Restoration work and development began in the 1930s. Costumed interpreters demonstrate the history of the Keweenaw Peninsula fort.

Easiest with a 4 wheel drive vehicle with decent ground clearance. The trail can be challenging depending on recent rainfall (mud holes and washouts).

A really cool camping spot on the point. There’s a cliff you jump off of into superior. Just be prepared because the water will most likely be cold, even in July or August.
