one of my son and my favorite walking spots. fun bridges and learning center, to go with scenery and wildlife

near home and always a favorite! I will often stop and hike for an hour or so after work to help unwind.

This place is very family friendly. It is not uncommon to stumble upon people picnicking or reading on a blanket during warm weather. There is a nature center and a bird museum, a children's garden, a butterfly garden with specimens in various stages of development, and a tree house. This is all in addition to the peaceful trails winding through the property. Jogging is allowed on paved and gravel roads while nature trails are for walking only to allow visitors the best opportunity to see wildlife and for that same reason, no pets are allowed. For-Mar also puts on a variety of events for kids and adults alike, such as wildlife education and plant sales. During the winter months they offer cross country skiing, which I have yet to try. With easy-to-navigate trails and multiple activity options, For-Mar has something to offer for everyone.

Be aware that they don't allow pets in the park! Other than that a nice area with a mix of open field and wooded trails.
