Explore the most popular trails in Creekshead Nature Preserve with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

A beautiful little woods that makes you wish it was bigger, much bigger. Very few invasive plants, so the woods look like a Michigan forest might have a few hundred years ago: open and dappled with sunlight.

Creekshead Preserve is a nice little woods. I was there after a couple days of fairly heavy rain and trails were predictably wet. There are boardwalks over most spots and none of the others were over the top of my boots. Pictures are geotagged to my track; more and higher resolution versions are at https://johnmetzler.smugmug.com/Parks/Legacy-Land-Conservancy-Preserves/Creekshead-Nature-Preserve/.

I tried to find this trail, but didn’t have any luck. The location is surrounded by private property, and there is no where to park. I was unable to find the trailhead and had to move on. Either this location is incorrect or the trail is no longer there.

This preserve is little known and little used, but it encompasses an assortment of native wildflowers, and is particularly interesting in the early Spring.
