The Averill Preserve is a 72-acre natural area along the Pere Marquette Rail-Trail celebrates Michigan’s natural history. Once the site of the world’s largest timber banking grounds, the Averill Preserve is now owned and managed by The Little Forks Conservancy has more than a mile of trails for hiking and exploring nature. Be sure to stop at the Overlook for a panoramic view of the Tittabawassee River. The first 800 feet of trail is paved for people of all abilities to enjoy nature. Show more
